Ciganine sviraj, sviraj - Mostar Sevdah Reunion i Ljiljana Buttler
Mostar Sevdah Reunion is musical ensemble from Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina playing almost exclusively sevdalinka and gypsy music. The band is composed of experienced musicians and often collaborates with renowned musicians in the field of gypsy music: they made two albums with Šaban Bajramović and two albums with Ljiljana Buttler. Ljiljana often tours with the band too. The band was formed by Dragi Šestić in Mostar in 1998. The band started out as a group of local, talented and experienced musicians -old friends, who made a reunion in summer 1999 for the recording of the first album. Their first CD was released 1999. Since then they became a real world music attraction performing on various world music festivals and receiving a number of music awards.

In order to keep it in the original key, I tuned my C string down to B-flat (which is ballsy, since there's not a good way to tune it to the other strings). While I was arranging this piece (by ear this time), I decided to make an experiment of it. By playing it at various speeds, it seemed to me to have different flavors. The SOS Band is an American musical ensemble, founded in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1977. Originally known as Santa Monica, the "SOS" initialism in the band's name does not stand for Save Our Souls—but for Sounds of Success. The band, fronted by Mary Davis, was initially famous for the hit "Take Your Time (Do It Right)" in 1980. In 1983, they joined forces with then-new production team Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, who went on to craft a string of R&B hits for the group, including "Just Be Good to Me," "Tell Me If You Still Care," "Borrowed Love," "No One's Gonna Love You," "Just the Way You Like It," and "The Finest".

Razbar Ensemble was founded in 1997 in Bonn, Germany, and it's primary goal is to present the sacred music of the Ahl-e Haqq, whose extraordinarily rich repertoire is derived from its deep roots in ancient spiritual and artistic traditions. From the outset of their artistic career, the Razbar Ensemble has drawn its motivation from the audience, who has been especially enthusiastic about discovering this previously unknown style of music. The repertoire consists of a rich heritage of sacred texts and melodies that have been passed down from generation to generation. The compositions are varied, and there is no predetermined format for their performance. The texts and melodies are intuitively arranged, and even the number of musicians, singers, and members of the chorus may vary from one concert to the next. The members of the ensemble have no formal musical training but instead have been raised with this music. Even when they are playing passionately on stage they are engaged in a devotional state of worship. The Ensemble primarily uses three instruments. The main instrument is the tanbur, a long-necked lute with three strings that has been in existence for some two thousands years. This lute acquired a special status in the 15th century, and has never been played for secular purposes since then. Along with the tanbur, the daf (frame drum) is used to create merriment and to stir the emotions. The thundering tones of the daf are unsurpassed by any other kind of drum. These <b>...</b>

House Of Shem - Thinking About You music video d House of Shem hail from Aotearoa, New Zealand and like many legendary reggae groups this band is built around the classic harmony trio format. At the helm is Carl Perkins, a man with over thirty years experience writing and playing reggae music. As a former member of Herbs, Mana and the Twelve Tribes of Israel Band amongst others, Carls musical credentials are impeccable. Joining him up front are two of his sons, Te Omeka and Isaiah who not only provide harmonies but both of whom also write, take turns at singing lead and play keyboards as well. Like other popular local whanau-based outfits Kora and Katchafire, it is this blood link and family bond that renders the sound of their combined voices as something really extraordinary. Each of the three has their own distinct song writing style and voice, effectively giving the band three different lead singers. The harmonies are sublime and the precision of their ensemble performance is phenomenal. Credit must also go to the rhythm section certainly one of the tightest you are ever likely to hear, with Kaya Webster who is a one-drop prodigy, having played drums for the Twelve Tribes of Israel Band since he was of primary school age and Frances Harawira, a heavy-duty bassist also formerly of the TTI Band and Token Village.
