Japanese Company Invents Water Fueled Car

Well one Japanese company reveals an eco-friendly car that runs on water, using the company's generating system, which converts water into electrical power - possibly the world's first. STORY: All you need is a liter of water - any kind of water to be exact, whether its river, rain, sea water, or even Japanese tea. Genepax unveiled a car that runs on water in the western Japanese city of Osaka. They say it's an electric powered car that runs solely on hydrogen dioxide. [Kiyoshi Hirasawa, Genepax CEO]: "The main characteristic of this car is that no external input is needed. The car will continue to run as long as you have a bottle of water inside for you to add from time to time." According to Japanese broadcaster TV Tokyo, once the water is poured into a water tank at the back of the car, the newly invented energy generator takes out the hydrogen from the water, releases electrons and finally generates electrical power. [Kiyoshi Hirasawa, Genepax CEO]: "We highly recommend our system since it does not require you to build up an infrastructure to recharge your batteries, which is usually the case for most electric cars." According to the Genepax, 1 liter of water keeps the car running for about an hour with a speed of 80 kilometers or 50 miles an hour. House Prices Plunge in Chinese Ghost Town

For more news visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Add us on Facebook ☛ me.lt The city of Ordos in Inner Mongolia has gained notoriety as a modern day ghost town. Blocks of homes and shops have remained empty for years. Falling prices demonstrate what can go wrong in a property boom that loses sight of real demand. There is a sense of inevitability about the crash of real estate prices in Ordos. That city is widely known as China's ghost town—for its brand new, empty office buildings, shopping plazas and apartments. The city in the steppes of Inner Mongolia borrowed the equivalent of 180 million US dollars from banks in 2004 to build a new district, Kangbashi. It includes a 79 million dollar museum. But while 1.4 million people live in greater Ordos, including the old part of town, less than 50000 live in the new district, a government official told Reuters. For a time the cranes kept building more homes in Kangbashi, despite blocks of towering new apartments sitting empty and highways that were silent during rush hour. But now even the cranes have stopped, and workers have no employment during winter. [Yang Zhouluo, Local Resident]: "The locals all loaned their money and all money has been invested in property. Now no one can sell apartments, and the money is gone." Migrant workers are fleeing the old part of the city, Dongsheng, where people actually live. And that's caused home prices to fall by almost a third. But since October, prices in other ...

[Kia-Hui Tan, Outstanding Performance Award Winner]: "I actually have simply loved music from a young age, and just listened to my mother who told me that I should start playing music. As soon as I heard the violin, I just fell in love with that kind of sound, and I like to perform, to bring the music forth, as well as to make the audience hear what I hear." As they throw themselves body and soul into the demanding music, it is more accurate to speak of a lifetime of effort. [Chen-Han Tsai, Bronze Award]: I think music really touches the soul, both for myself and hopefully to share it with others. It's just played such an important part in my life that I can't even imagine, you know, with out it." As the music itself reaches a crescendo of difficulty with selections from Niccolo Paganini and Henryk Wieniawski. [Sherry Kloss, Competition Judge]: The Philosophy behind this competition appeals to me I am of the school that each person is an individual and if we can strive to pull out that individuality and what differentiates one person from the next then we are successful in the mission." It originated in the early Qin Dynasty (221-207 BC) and gained national fame during the Sui Dynasty (581-617 AD) and Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD). Huaiyang cuisine has had a profound impact on the culinary culture in Suzhou, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shanghai, all of which quickly took on their own characteristics. After the Ming and Qing Dynasty, Shandong cuisine has had a great influence on Huaiyang cuisine. Huaiyang cuisine originated from the old Yangzhou. During the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Yangzhou was the second largest city in China, after Changan. It is known for its year-round fresh produce. NTD Competition Brings Ancient Dance to the Modern Stage

In the second of NTD Television's 2010 Competition Series, Chris Chappell takes us to a very special part of traditional Chinese culture. Let's have a look. Muscles, strained and taut, bend at impossible angles. NTD's 2010 International Classical Chinese Dance Competition has begun. Contestants from as far away as Australia, and as close as New York City, vie for a chance at the gold prize award of $10000. The path to this competition has been paved in years of hard work. [Rachael Bastick (Yu Ning), Drifting Clouds Flowing Water]: "I felt that everyone danced very well, I didn't know who would win, but I felt everyone put in a lot of effort. This year everyone improved a lot." But despite the tough competition, these contestants aren't letting anything hold them back. And they certainly won't let something as trivial as gravity hold them down. Things are heating up on the second day of the competition. The judges scrutinize the smallest movements and gestures. They are the experts on Classical Chinese dance from Shen Yun Performing Arts. Classical Chinese dance is distinct from ballet and modern dance. Return to Realism: NTD Painting and Photo Competitions

WONG: And finally, we examine one of the most unique, and most essential aspects of these competitions: They are based in the artistic style of Realism; rare for modern art, and even rarer in China. STORY: [Dai Bing, Competition Judge]: This kind of work is totally realistic, and thats not so easy to find in China. It's not easy to express yourself this way, within China and the Communist Party doesn't allow many topics to be represented in a realistic way. Yet these international competitions have seen hundreds of Chinese artists, from the Mainland and overseas, turn their talents towards creating works of realism. They try to record reality with perfect accuracy, and let their subjects speak for themselves. If modern artists are supposed to have large egos, the opposite is true here: Creating artwork in a Realist style requires one above all to be a humble, honest observer waiting for some artistically meaningful aspect of the world to naturally reveal itself. [Dai Bing, Competition Judge]: This photo for example is an extremely good landscape. You can see it is complete, including the form of this arc, a great broad arc and the relative placement of the other elements. The way this light spills forth everything is very successful here. But to find these hidden truths, an artist might spend an eternity putting paintbrush to canvas, or waiting for the perfect photographic moment. [Zhuo Qiuchi, Hon. Mention Golden Harbor]: I was very excited to be able to take this photo ...

NTD's Chinese Traditional Martial Arts Competitors

Anchor: NTDs Chinese Traditional Martial Arts Competition wrapped up this weekend, lets take a look at one competitors perspective on the principles and values behind his chosen martial arts form. Story: Chinas 5000 year history has given birth to many forms of Martial Arts. These forms were all vividly displayed at this weekends competition. One competitor Marcus Leonard from the Jaw Ga school shares his insights on the difference between contemporary and traditional martial arts. [Marcus Leonard, Martial Artist] Traditional had to do with combat, everything was combat, the emphasis was fighting, so it was more of a means of survival, than a means of performance In traditional martial arts there are principles behind each school. Many Martial Arts forms are not only about combat, they also include profound cultural and ethical understandings. [Marcus Leonard, Martial Artist] 4:30 First before anything else, respect the founder, respect the teacher, respect the teachings, learn kindness, learn justice, then learn Kung Fu, after you learn Kung Fu you can protect yourself, but if you are a true hero, a true Kung Fu man, you will not abuse your power, if you meet a student and you know him to be an evil person, then you should not teach him for ten thousand pieces of gold. Now they have to deal with huge losses because their crops have been ruined. A farmer, Liu Mingsuo was hoping to cash in on his watermelon farm this year. But now he's counting his losses after his watermelon crops began exploding on the ground. Liu only started growing watermelons this year. He says a local agricultural expert advised him to spray his crops with a type of chemical. It's supposed to make the melons grow bigger and taste sweeter. But in a bizarre twist, the watermelons began bursting open, well before they were ripe. In just one morning, Liu had to throw out more than 11000 pounds of his crops. Farmers nearby are also finding their watermelons exploding. Even those with crops that seem fine are having difficulty selling them, because fruit markets fear they could explode later. This is the latest case of Chinese food producers trying to make a quick buck by artificially boosting their products. Some netizens say they're glad the watermelons exploded on the farms because now the chemicals won't reach their mouths. The Chinese regime has allowed wider media coverage of food scandals recently. Wife and Lawyer of Chinese Rights Lawyer Gao Zhisheng Speaks to NTD

For more news and videos visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Add us on Facebook ☛ on.fb.me The rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng is still imprisoned in China and his family has not been able to see him. NTD spoke to Gao's wife and lawyer about the case. Lawyer Mo Shaoping says there is no legal basis to not allow Gao to see his family. Gao Zhiyi, the brother of the Chinese rights lawyer, Gao Zhisheng, recently petitioned authorities in Beijing for the fourth time. He's trying to get authorities to disclose information about Gao Zhisheng who's believed to be imprisoned in Xinjiang. Gao's wife, Geng He, told NTD that because the regime has pressured Gao's family members in the Mainland, his older brother alone has taken the responsibility to look for Gao. [Geng He, Gao Zhisheng's Wife]: "I cannot phone his younger brother or younger sister, in December last year those at the house said the authorities had pressured them and tormented them so much that they can't take it. I can understand the situation. You just do not know how much they have been harassed." Before the Lunar New Year, Gao Zhisheng's brother went to see him at the prison in Shaya in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region where Gao is said to be held. The prison would not allow Gao's brother to see him, claiming that Gao did not want to see his family members and was undergoing a three-month "education" period. So Gao Zhiyi went to Beijing to demand the Justice Department take responsibility for the case ...

Chinese Man Grows World's Most Expensive Tea from Panda Dung

For more news and videos visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Add us on Facebook ☛ on.fb.me These days pandas are doing more than just eating bamboo and practicing kung fu. One panda in China's Sichuan Province is now mastering the art of tea farming. Here's the story of this panda's unusual contribution to tea drinking. When people think of China, images of pandas are likely to come to mind, but not necessarily their dung—until now. Former calligraphy teacher, An Yanshi has been cultivating a special green tea that is grown almost exclusively in the excrement of the iconic bears. He says Panda dung makes an excellent fertilizer, because Pandas only absorb about 30% of the nutrients from the food they consume, which leaves the other 70% left in the feces and available to nurture plant life. Also, says An, the dung is organic by nature. Pandas eat a diet composed exclusively of wild bamboo. [An Yanshi, Panda Tea Creator]: "The digestive and absorption abilities of the panda are not good. They keep eating and they keep producing feces. They are like a machine that is churning out organic fertilizer." But before you get too excited about trying a cup of this exotic brew, consider the price—about $1500 - $3000 per pound. Just exactly how much you pay depends on the grade. The first harvest in early spring will be the priciest and most prized by tea lovers. [An Yanshi, Panda Tea Creator]: "The limited first batch of tea grown from panda dung is the most ...

RSF: Eutelsat Obligated to Resume NTD』s Broadcast

Reporters Without Borders, or RSF, alleges that Berretta shut off the broadcast intentionally and illegally because of pressure from the Chinese regime. Although Eutelsat』s CEO claims the shutoff was only because of a technical problem, a broken satellite transponder broke. Its letter to Eutelsat CEO Giuliano Berretta urges him to resume NTD』s broadcast into Asia and China. Reporters Without Borders, or RSF, alleges that Berretta shut off the broadcast intentionally and illegally because of pressure from the Chinese regime.
