Lee Hazlewood - Nancy Sinatra, Some Velvet Morning, NBC television special "Movin' With Nancy" in 1967. Lee Hazlewood's passing made me think of the "Some Velvet Morning" recording, It's a strange eerie tune Lee wrote in the mid to late 60's and recorded with Nancy Sinatra, anyway, here's the video, I wanted to share it.

Chestnut Ridge, MD - December 13, 2009 A million dollar Baltimore County, MD home was destroyed Sunday night by a fire that tore through the 4700-square-foot structure with such intensity that firefighters were forced to battle the flames from the exterior. Shortly after 9 pm, Baltimore County Fire Dispatch alerted crews for Fire Box 50-2 at 12607 Nancy Lee Court in the Worthington Trace subdivision in the Chestnut Ridge area. As firefighters were responding, dispatch advised they were receiving multiple calls to 911, with some reporting the entire house was on fire. While en route to the scene, Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company Captain Dan Uddeme reported heavy fire was visible and requested a 2nd alarm and a Tanker Strike Team as the house sits in an area without fire hydrants. Upon arrival, Capt. Uddeme reported fire had consumed the entire 2nd floor and roof area and was spreading. Firefighters were forced to use exterior operations due to the heavy volume of fire. Responding units set up for rural water operations, shuttling more than 17000 gallons of water from an underground tank on Greenspring Avenue and Walnut Avenue near the scene. Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Companys Engine 412 was also utilized for its Compressed Air Foam System, with several handlines and the ladder pipe from Glyndon Volunteers Truck 404 flowing foam. The Baltimore County Fire Investigation Division is investigating to determine the fires cause and origin.

He sang on both sides of the Atlantic and is best remembered for his association with the music dramas of Richard Wagner. Whitehill was notable for the tonal beauty of his large voice, the nobility of his singing style and the dignity of his stage demeanour. His diction, phrasing and enunciation were considered to be exemplary, too, while his interpretations were said to have a poignant intensity which set them apart from those of his contemporaries. Fortunately, Whitehill made a number of gramophone records prior to World War One which display something of his greatness as a Wagnerian singer. Whitehill made his Metropolitan Opera debut on November 25, 1909. He would enjoy a long and praiseworthy career at the Met despite a throat ailment which periodically affected one of his vocal cords. He was to remain on the Met's roster of singers until 1932, the year of his death. The music to Nancy Lee was written by Michael Maybrick, who published under the name Stephen Adams. He was born in Liverpool in 1844. He completed his music studies there and moved to Leipzig and Milan to study further. He became a well known baritone singer. So to make the most of it Sam gets the information she wants from Alexis about why she gave her up, what she thinks happened to her and what she would say if she saw her now, all while not knowing that Sam's her daughter! The scenes after they both are let out of the room while Alexis leaves and Sam goes back and sees Alexis's glasses on the desk then says to herself you left your glasses mom always gets to me! Anybody that has a parent or never got to know theirs no matter how overbearing they can be we always what their approval will understands Sam's behavior! They rush to go see her where he leaves her alone with a sleeping Sam who when finally awakes! They see each other as mother and daugther! After a little covo Alexis leaves to talk to Sam's doctor! Then Sam tells Jason she's sorry that she has to leave him and makes him promise not to let them take her ring! Taks a good look at his face you can tell how much Kelly got to Steve for real when she said that! Then Alexis comes back and tries to tell Sam the information Dr. Lee gave her but Sam slips into a coma! Then Dr. Lee says she might never come out of it! In were Alexis said this isn't the way it was suppose to happen! And she breaks down into Jason's arms! Fantastic but very emotional acting by two of my favorite actresses Nancy Lee and Kelly! I felt Sam/Kelly was on a role the last few days with this episode especially showing when she is given great material to read she could role with it! Loved the confidence in her character in these scenes, by taking responsibility for her actions! GH has a jewel in Kelly need more scenes like this for her! As for story wise loved that Alexis was standing by her daughter when others doubt her! Of course any scene between Kelly and Nancy Lee are awesome need more of that too! Drop dead Amelia you hardly knew your father! Also aren't to two biggest heros cold-blooded killing mobsters so why should everyone single Sam out! Jealousy at it's worse!
