I made a small mistake: the putty tool used to convert keys is called puttygen and is not included with dingleberry. You can download it along with putty itself at www.chiark.greenend.org.uk Use this to convert the file named "rsa" in your dingleberry folder to a .ppk file which putty and winscp and similar tools can use. You can then log in to your root with these tools using "root" as the username and the .ppk file that you made as authentication. The instructions on how to enable google apps on the BlackBerry PlayBook can be found at pastie.org I'll make a video covering these instructions at some point. xpvqs (twitter.com helped me out a fair bit in getting this to work. using lighttpd, Erika's OpenURL, and WinHtTrack I was able to get normal web widgets/apps to run native on the iphone. Using WinHtTrack download the entire site, put it in the sites folder after installing lighttpd, and use OpenURL to creat the icon and springboard launcher! Thats it!

By now, there's absolutely no excuse for an app not to support Fast App Switching, the iPhone's form of multitasking. Here's Blackberry Playbook reviewed at CES 2011. This is probably one of the best tablet devices I have ever seen. What I really like is the Palm Pre-like user interface that's easy to use and looks cool. I think RIM has done a fantastic job of UI development. Of course, the only thing missing? I would say native apps (not just adobe air) that would need time to develop. Apple and Android already has at least couple years in native app development, this means RIM will need to catch up rather quickly. But then again, it might be fine as RIM's development uses Adobe Air, which is already being used for Android app development. Those Android app developers should be able to port their apps to Playbook very quickly. It will be exciting, I will certainly get one to test it out.
