On May 27th, 2011 Natty Light officially became The First Beer In Space. Two of Natty Lights Facebook fans, Danny and Rich, came to us with an epic idea to make Natty the first beer in space. We said go for it, just let us know when ya shoot it off! Natty Light helped make their dream a reality, by offering to support their efforts on Natty's Facebook page. The spacecraft was named the Aluminum Fullcan by Natty's Facebook Fans (submitted by Kel Thomas). Natty Light First Beer In Space: The Plan (video) www.youtube.com The spacecraft was launched via weather balloon. The ascent took about 2hrs rising to an altitude of 90000ft+. The Aluminum Fullcan spacecraft landed 60 miles from the launch site and took Danny and Rich 2hrs to locate by gps (due to the rural area of the landing that offered poor reception). The event was a complete success and Natty Light officially became The First Beer In Space (edge of space)...what we like to call the Nattmosphere! The spacecraft was composed of a styrofoam cooler carrying the first beer (full beer) in space on board, a gps tracking device, an HD video camera pointed at another (empty) can on the outside of the ship (It's the can you see in frame). Main changes since Alpha 3: Kernel Updated to 2.6.38-7 Firefox 4 Fully released LibreOffice updated to 3.3.2 Split Screen resizing added to Unity New Wallpapers New Styling on Network Icon More Keyboard Shortcuts Mapped to Windows Key. New Centralised Control Centre (similar to Control Panel in Windows) Application Ratings and user reviews added to Software Centre "Try before you Install" added to Software Centre (install QTNX) "Apps Available for Download" added to Application Menus Ubuntu One far more stable GRUB colours changed to Purple & White Alternate (Text based) Installer now has Purple background Jockey offers a choice of Proprietary or FOSS Nouveau for nVidia cards Review done on a Full system install. I've been using it on my desktop and netbook computers for the past couple of weeks. Released on the Trojan label in 1978 this track stayed at the #1 spot for over 3 months. Back in 78/79, Yagga Yagga Yagga Yagga Ya was on everyones' lips. It talks about a non-love affair between a young lady and a Rasta who passes her each day on the street. Despite never working up the courage to actually speak to the girl, the Rasta insists the Natty Dread is what she really wants. Tappa Zukie on the version makes it quite clear; she no want soul man, she no want white man, she no want chiney man, she no want coolie man....Natty Dread A Weh She Want. For those around in those days, step back in time me. For those that weren't...these were good times...sorry you missed out!!
