The Battle of Stalingrad was a major battle of World War II in which Nazi Germany and its allies fought the Soviet Union for control of the city of Stalingrad (now Volgograd) in southwestern Russia. The battle took place between 17 July 1942 and 2 February 1943 and was among the largest on the Eastern Front, and was marked by its brutality and disregard for military and civilian casualties. It was amongst the bloodiest battles in the history of warfare with the higher estimates of combined casualties amounting to nearly two million deaths. The outcome was disastrous for Germany, and proved to be a turning point in the war for the Allies, making a German victory in the East impossible. A collection of over 200 historical newsreels. They each shared a strong sense of pride and nationalism which had turned them into an incredible military machine, feared by most of the world. Former British King & Wallis visit Nazi Germany, 1937 [HD]. In October 1937, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor (formerly Edward VIII and Mrs Wallis Simpson) visited Germany where they met Adolf Hitler. It was a very controversial decision and the British government advised Edward and Wallis not to do the trip. It has been reported the Duke gave full Nazi salutes. Although the Pathe footage does not show the salute, it does show the Duke of Windsor at a concert hall surrounded by swastikas and portraits of Hitler. Speech done my friend Ryan Faulk, whose username on YouTube is FringeElements (formerly ConfederalSocialist and Stodles) around the Fall of 2008 on Nazi Germany. It is a "revisionist" view of Nazi Germany which I believe is more rational and logical from the standard view that most people from the Allied countries believe concerning World War II. Many people adhere to Godwin's Law, suggesting that anything Hitler did was wrong, period. This video certainly does not support Nazi Germany even remotely, yet does not emotionally rail against every single move they made from 1933-1945. This speech attempt to look at the history from the German's perspective, which is the beauty of it, whether you agree or disagree with the content.
