In a previously confidential report released Wednesday, New Jersey state regulators said they found that casino operator MGM Mirage (NYSE:MGM) went astray by partnering with a company for its Macau casino that it knew had links to people connected with organized crime, The Wall Street Journal reported. "From the beginning of its efforts to enter Macau, MGM pursued partnerships with persons that it knew were associated with those aspects of gaming in Macau most heavily penetrated by organized crime," New Jersey's Division of Gaming Enforcement wrote to the state's Casino Control Commission. MGM Mirage disclosed the report's existence nearly a year ago, but it had been kept confidential until a hearing Wednesday before the casino commission.

Law enforcement authorities have charged 127 organized crime suspects in the northeastern US on Thursday. It is one of the FBI's largest operations against the Mafia. As I was pulling out of the parking lot area, my side-view cameras was able to pick up the side of this second vehicle 1:22. Now I'm entering the end of the parking lot, but I'm on the other side of this vehicle 2:17. I was able to get the license plate of this vehicle 2:37 and 2:54. An interesting sidebar to this story is that, in October 1990, Louis DiBono, an associate of the Gambino crime family, was murdered in the basement levels of the WTC. DiBono claimed to have a contract worth millions of dollars to re-fireproof the WTC buildings. Sammy "The Bull" Gravano was charged with the murder but was apparently acting on the orders of John Gotti, the Gambino boss at the time. DiBono's body was found three days after he was murdered, in the parking garage of the WTC near where a bomb-laden van would be set-off three years later.
