I'm currently testing the Nikon FT-1 Adapter on my NikonV1, and while I'm not ready to publish a review just yet... I thought considering the dearth of decent "test footage" from the FT-1 here on youtube I found (or maybe more to the point, didn't find) when I went looking for some myself recently, I thought it might be handy to some people to upload a short montage of my Day 1 testing with the lens adapter and a Nikkor AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G lens I had supplied with the review unit while I await some more Glass to test with it, from Sigma. FYI, the slow-motion stuff was done by running the V1 in 60P mode and conforming that 60fps footage back down to 25fps - this is sometimes known as "overcranking"... it's a nifty trick, and one of the best reasons to have a camera that does 60p ;) You can find some stills from the shoot here; plus.google.com

Hello, Today I am going to be reviewing the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 Telephoto lens. As mentioned this lens is the Nikon Mount. Over-all I am extremely happy with this lens! It's performs amazing for it's price. It's has a lot more uses than just being a 70-200mm lens. The Macro is ok, gets the job done. And this lens does great for portraits, sports, and even landscape. It's pretty sharp throughout the entire zoom range and no part of the lens moves while zooming, the front nor rear element moves. The mount is 77mm. The lens weighs about 3 pounds so a tripod/monopod is probably wanted. The lens cost about $800. You will be very happy with this lens. Very happy. Test footage from the afternoon of December 31, 2010. Nikkor 85mm F/2 AI-s lens on a Canon 7D using the "Fotodiox V2 Lens Mount Adapter." This combination is not for beginners -- it's an all-manual lens and camera operation. If you're not an advanced user -- don't mess with the headaches of using a Nikon lens on a Canon body. If you don't have substantial experience I guarantee you'll miss the shots you wanted and even mess up the shots you thought you planned. For people who know what they're doing -- the cheap "V2" Fotodiox is all metal, well constructed, and goes on and off the lens easily. Infinity focus is almost perfect -- just barely, barely off. As advanced users should already know -- this won't work with "DX" or "G" Nikon lenses. The character of these older Nikons is amazing with the Canon sensors. The old Nikkors create a lower contrast, seemingly less saturated image that just seems to work well.
