The Vampire Diaries Star has been killing it on the carpet as of late—turning up the heat at the Met Gala in DKNY, but she couldn't have looked any better for this arrival. Nina sported a skin tight midi dress in a gorgeous Champagne color by Dolce & Gabanna. The hue of the frock looked absolutely amazing with Dobrev's fair complexion and the cut of the dress showed off Nina's fit figure. The sleeves on the dress and the cut really gave off a professional elegance vibe, but she decided to make it a little bit more playful with a pop of color in her shoes. The strappy maroon heels gave Dobrev the added height she needed to rock a midi dress, plus the yellow pedicure proved to be such a fun addition to the ensemble. Another thing I loved about the dress was the thick belt at the waist line—it is of the same color family, but even the subtle difference broke up the dress and gave it some added dimension. Dobrev's hair was spot on—parted on the side and done into lose curls with a little lighter hue at the bottom. The curls were a great change from Nina's normal straight locks and the bounce gave her a youthful look. And I loved Nina's makeup. She went with a light shadow to match the dress and a thin, but apparent liner and bold mascara. And for her lips—she did a light maroon color which really tied in <b>...</b>

For those of you that haven't read the books, or sometimes have trouble following all of the multiple storylines on TVD, here's a quick tid-bit. You know how Elena is the doppelganger. Well apparently Esther is actually after the original Petrova, Tatia, for whom Elena is the doppelganger but as of now we don't know why she's the doppelganger or any in-depth details about this important portion of the show's overall plot. Knowing that doppelganager is essentially defined traditionally as a ghostly double of a living person that haunts its living counterpart --we're wondering if this petrova original has been haunting Elena the whoel time. And what does this mean for Katherine. I mean, how will she even fit in now that Elena is possibly a vampire. Could this mean that in season 4, Nina Dobrev will be playing Elena, Katherine AND Tatia? Nina Dobrev was a show-stopper on the Met Gala red carpet and we have the fashion rewind. The Met Gala is an annual who's who of the style world, and just being invited is quite the honor. Vampire Diaries' star Nina Dobrev didn't simply attend the event -- she completely took over the red carpet in a creation from Donna Karan. The black and gold gown was inspired by a dress worn by Gwyneth Paltrow in "Great Expectation," and featured a gorgeous train. The dress' bead-work pattern was absolutely impeccable and the fit gave the overall look a modern flare, especially when you take a look at the varying size of the straps. To finish off the look, Nina's brown locks were upswept into a low bun and her accessories very minimal, which was a great move, and lets the dress do all the talking. It was a fun couples weekend at Coachella for Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder! The entire cast of the Vampire Diaries made an appearance at the CW network upfronts in New York City yesterday and we've got your inside look. Nina Dobrev showed off a lighter hair color along with her gorgeous gold dress, while her real life boyfriend Ian Somerhalder kept it a bit more casual in dark denim, a grey v-neck and leather jacket. Also looking lovely at upfronts were the other ladies of TVD -- Candice Accola and Kat Graham -- both of who showed off their personal style, with Candice in flowy pants and Kat rockin some black and lace. And let's not forget about the guys of Mystic Falls -- Micahel Trevino and Zach Roerig both suited up for the occasion and, might I add, they both looked quite dapper. We're also really digging Zach's black wide-rimmed glasses. We couldn't help but notice that none of the cast members that play originals on the show were in attendance at upfronts -- so of course that has us wondering if they really are gone for good. Now that Elena's a vampire, things have likely changed completely. The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev arrived at the MetGala in New York City looking absolutely stunning. The star look at the biggest night in fashion is a far cry from her first red carpet arrival. Looking absolutely flawless in a gown by Donna Karan, the star walked down the carpet with a train that took the top spot of the night. The black and gold combo looked fantastic on Nina—a great change from the all black we often see Dobrev in. The gold embellishment was made out of antique sequins and Donna Karan based the gown on the dress she put on Gwyneth in the 1998 Film Great Expectations. Rivaling the train—which had its very own handler, was the back of the dress which was totally backless besides one thin strip, showing off Nina's healthy glow and slim figure. For her hair, Nina Dobrev pulled it all back into a very sophisticated up do, that paired perfectly with her ultra elegant gown. Dobrev came sans boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder, but did bring a beautiful Judith Lieber clutch, rocking some amazing Jimmy Choo shoes. And as for accessories she wore all jewels by H. First up is Shay Mitchell, who caught our attention with her new bangs at the Lela Rose show.
