This is a video of a wonderful Norfolk Broads Boating Holiday. All of the Broads are very beautiful and there is a photo opportunity every minute. The boat we hired was called Sunlight from www.herbertwoods.co.uk and was excellent in every way. For technical information the video was taken with a Panasonic HDC-SD600.

We spent a week on the Broads cruising in our hired riverboat. We picked up the boat from Richardson,s Boatyard at Stalham August 6, not a good week of weather and a very busy week of traffic, if you did not moor up by 2.0 PM is was very difficult to find a space unless you moored at some riverbank spot well away from the popular sites of free mooring and riverside pubs. We had ducks and swans tapping on the boat at 6.0 AM looking for food.

"Hunters Yard, Ludham, Norfolk, where Percy Hunter's unique fleet of traditional, wooden, 1930's sailing yachts awaits you. The Yard sits in its own private, secluded dyke in the heart of the world famous inland waterway, known as the Norfolk Broads. Percy's 'Lovely Ladies' form a fleet of vintage, gaff rigged, fixed keel sloop Yachts equipped with self-tacking jibs. Our video is a guided walk on the Norfolk Broads from Ranworth to Horning. We cross the River Bure by boat and return back over the river by the ferry service. We take a look at Ranworth Broad and the visitors centre and climb to the top of St. Helen's Church Tower. In Horning we watch the yacht's and sailing boats. This short film is a preview of the recently released Broadland Memories DVD which will features around 40 minutes of amateur 16mm cine footage of one family's holidays on the Norfolk Broads in 1932 and 1933.
