As we've previously reported, Chord Overstreet is busy focusing on his music career right now and if you follow him on Twitter, you'd know that he's been hitting the studio several times as of late. But most recently, Demi Lovato tweeted out 'In the studio writing with @chordoverstreet :)' to which Chord responded to DL with 'killer session today!!! Truly talented.' Since Demi's Unbroken album is all said and done and set to hit the public on September 20, it's pretty much assumed that this work process is for Mr. Overstreet's own project. Just a few days ago, he had tweeted out about what a fun night the VMAs was, adding that Demi should ice those heels. Remember that these two presented a MTV award together most recently, although DL said in her awards show tweet that's always fun seeing Chord. We've still got another couple of weeks before Glee returns with new episodes, but this news should hold you over during the wait! We just got word that Chord Overstreet is returning to the show! According to TV Line, Chord's character Sam will be added back to the cast as a series regular. Sources say the reason Chord didn't come back this season was because he wasn't offered a series regular cast spot, so he decided to leave the show to pursue his music. But he's back and apparently the cast and crew are ecstatic over it. A source close to the show says, "We missed Chord and Chord missed us. It's a win-win." Awww! We'll still have to wait a couple months to see our Trouty Mouth back in action though—look for Sam in December on episode 8 of this season. Chord Overstreet made his very first visit to Ellen D's daytime show a few days back, and let's just say it was very memorable. You know Ellen - she had to show a ton of hot shirtless photos of the blonde actor - to which he actually admitted that he knew he'd be shirtless a ton because it was, in fact, written into his contract. The actor also dished a ton on his background and the fact that he comes from more of a music business family than a TV family. His dad works in the music world in Nashville, and Chord was actually perusing a music career prior to nabbing the role on Glee. I guess the name Chord does make sense for the musical guy. Oh, and about his name. Well C said that he's the third kid in his family and a chord is made up of three notes, so it just made sense - very cool!
