Ozploitation Classic STONE - On DVD from Severin Films

www.amazon.com It triggered Australia's exploitation explosion, sparked a worldwide censorship battle, and remains one of the most infamous biker movies in genre history. Stone is the full-throttle saga of an undercover cop (Ken Shorter) who infiltrates the outlaw Grave Diggers (led by producer/director/co-writer Sandy Harbutt) on a one-way trip to hell with vengeance in their hearts, violence on their minds, and 150 horsepower of screaming steel between their legs. Helen Morse (Picnic At Hanging Rock), Bill Hunter (The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert), members of the Sydney Hells Angels, and Hugh Keays-Byrne, Roger Ward, Vincent Gil and Reg Evans of Mad Max fame co-star in the ultimate down-under cult classic, now fully restored from original vault elements.

Billy Green - Gravediggers [1974 Stone OST - Australian biker movie]

Uploaded by Rich at aftersabbath.blogspot.com the blog for 60s-70s heavy obscurities. Killer soundtrack from the super-rare 1974 Ozploitation Biker-Psych Cult Classic!* The Cock Diesel chapter of the Finders Keepers gang presents a lovingly compiled and executed reissue of the hugely sought-after soundtrack to Sandy Harbutt's Ozploitation Biker flick 'Stone' by Billy Green. This is some real top-shelf material, a (monu)mental prog-rocking psyche-funked and avant-pop megalith originally imagined in synchronicity with director Harbutt's Aussie cult take on the B-movie sub-sect of Biker movies inspired by the likes of Marlon Brando's 'The Wild One' and 'The Cycle Savages'. Green's incredibly varied and ambitious compositions were among the most adventurous in Australia around 1974, whether combining synthesizers and didgeridoos on the opening sequence 'Eco Blue' to bombastic prog-rock themes with spiralling krautrock levels of cosmic intention and moments of Kottke desert blues. This mind-blowing meld of styles has ensured this albums legendary status with collectors across the world.
