This is the second video with the 55.7" Parabolic Dish. The water boiled in 90 Seconds from 50F. The container is a Venom Energy Drink made out of thicker gauge Aluminum. I added some black paint to the back but kept the from because it is a cool design. The drink was too sweet for me:-) This dish was slightly damaged so I softened the dents and corrected the surface. This dish is operating at full strength even with the slight damage. It was like that when I got it. I decided to test this one incase something happened that way I did not damage a near perfect dish. This one also has a center hole for mounting.

video of a parabolic solar cooker i bought a couple of weeks ago. it works very well, is very inexpensive, is lightweight (around 3.3 pounds) and when disassembled the dish fits in a (15.5" x 12.5 x 4") size box. *not much bigger than a large phonebook. when assembled it is only 3 feet across. it will cook just about anything that you would normally cook on the stovetop and in about the same time. i use various metal pots and pans that i painted with a high heat flat black barbeque paint. i try to always use glass lids when cooking to keep any splatter from hitting the solar cooker. Because this video is long, ive included a general timeline. this should make it easy to fast forward to various sections. the following is a general flow of the video in minutes and seconds. From 0:00 - 1:20 (1 minute and 20 seconds) i talk about the cooker itself. then from 1:20 - 2:35 I talk about the burner assembly I designed. At 2:35 I show focal point and water heating. At 3:55 I show water boiling. At 4:33 pasta cooking. At 5:55 heating sauce. At 6:40 cooking soup. Then 6:59 - 7:27 cooking grilled cheese. 7:33 - 8:21 frying eggs. 8:21 egg sandwich. Then at 8:27 - 9:18 caramelizing onions. And finally from 9:18 to 9:57, I show where I store the cooker and the box that it came in. www.greenpowerscience.com This is a larger Stirling engine that has a 12v DC Permanent Magnet motor operating fixed as the flywheel bearing. It produces 15 Volt max with NO LOAD. This setup as is produces about 15 watts. The heat sink is a water cooled tank that is a bit short for the displacement piston but does work. I will be adding some heat sinks soon and testing it with the 56 inch dish and a Fresnel Lens. The motor/generator has an additional pulley that the other engine I have may be tied to. The water can be fed continuously or as a tank.

This is a thick Mylar based parabolic mirror with a 40 inch effective area. The focal length is adjustable with vacuum power. It produces amazing optics and may be an option for a Dobsonian Telescope. The part C material is a first surface mirror on one side and second surface on the other. We coat the first surface with an enamel spray as water can remove the mirror. Once coated it is weather proof. We also use the second surface for solar. FOCAL LENGTH 5000 MM TO 8000 MM. I left this a bit baggy but with a good stretch, you can make a 15M FL.

The vacuum tube is double walled borosilicate (Pyrex) glass that is crystal clear on the outer portion and an absorber layer is deposited on the inner portion. The inner portion contains a vacuum that insulates like a traditional thermos and allows for quick heat buildup, without losing a lot of heat into the surround atmosphere. The FOCAL POINT of the mirror is optimal just beyond the water container to prevent damage to the inner layer and also a wider FOCAL PATTERN provides a larger surface area for more efficient heat transfer. This is a follow video to www.youtube.com This amazing shape was created by nature, actually 3mil plastic and gravity. 22 sq ft collection area 22 x 144 (inches) =3168 sq inches x 1 inch of rain = 3168 sq inches of rain. 1 US Gallon = 231 sq inches of water, 3168 divided by 231 = 13.72 gallons per inch of rain. 14 inches of rain over the few day period = 14 x 13.72= 192 gallons. 192 gallons x 8.3 (pounds of a gallon of water) = 1593 pounds. Since it developed a hole before I could measure, I went with the safe guess of 70 gallons. 192 is hard to believe.
