Pankaj Udhas (born 17 May 1951) is a ghazal singer from India. He is credited, along with other musicians like Jagjit Singh and Talat Aziz, with bringing the style to the realm of popular music. Udhas rose to fame for singing in the film Naam (1986 film), in which his song Chitthi Aayee Hai became an instant hit. Following that, he has also performed as a playback singer for numerous films. He has recorded many albums since then and tours the world as an accomplished Ghazal singer. In 2006, Pankaj Udhas was awarded the Padmashree. Pankaj Udhas was born in Jetpur near Rajkot in Gujarat to a family of Beer Brewers and is the youngest of three brothers.[1] He hails from Charan community. His father's name is Keshubhai Udhas and mother's name is Jitubhen Udhas. His eldest brother Manhar Udhas achieved some success as a Hindi playback singer in Bollywood movies. His second elder brother Nirmal Udhas is also a well-known Ghazal Singer and was the first of the three brothers to start singing in the family. He had studied in Sir BPTI Bhavanagar. His family moved to Mumbai and Pankaj attended St. Xavier's College in Mumbai. There would not have been too many people who have not heard this song at least once. Featuring in the 1986 movie Naam starring Kumar Gaurav, Sanjay Dutt, Amrita Singh and Poonam Dhillon, the song was a mega-hit. Pankaj Udhas was a well known Ghazal singer even then, but this song made him very popular. The movie had music by Laxmikant-Pyarelal and the movie was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Rajendra Kumar. The song also touched a lot of NRI's, given that the song was essentially a reminder of home, and the people who have been left behind and who just have memories now. This movie was a movie that was supposed to bring Kumar Gaurav some success, but it was the role of Sanjay Dutt as the more wayward son (with a good heart), but who eventually gets involved in drug smuggling which gave a good filip to his fame.

Dil Ki Baatein Hain Poochho To Bataain Ge Singers: Pankaj Udhas & Anuradha Lyrics: Sardar Anjum Music: Uttam Singh Film: Gawahi (Drama) Year: 1989 Zeenat Aman and Shekhar Kaoor were the main characters of the film "Gawahi" Zeenat Aman was born to a Hindu mother and a Muslim father Amanullah who was one of the writers for the classic "Mughal-e-Azam", on November 19th, 1951. Zeenat was an only child and her parents divorced when she was a little girl. A graduate of Saint Xavier's school in Bombay. Her father passed away when she was 13. Zeenat won a scholarship to study in California. Upon her return she started working as reporter and was introduced to modeling by friends. Her most prominent ad campaign was the Pond's 7 day to better complexion (later models for the campaign were Sonu Walia and Kimi Katkar). Zeenat entered the Miss India contest and was the third runner up, to go to Miss Asia/Pacific a title she later won - being the first Indian to ever win that title (the same title was brought to Indian a second time in 2000 by Diya Mirza).

Doctor was released on 1940 Bengali film starring Pankaj Mullick, Indu Mukherjee, Bharati Debi, Ahindra Choudhruy, Kanu Bandopadhyay. The Bengali film is directed by Phani Mazumdar. Pankaj Mullick scored the music in the film. The story is as Amaranth comes from a family rooted in tradition. He studies Medicine and holds progressive views. In the some village that he lives in is a girl Maya. Maya was deserted by her finance at the wedding. This becomes reason enough for the villagers to treat her as an untouchable. Her father is on his deathbed. Amaranth, who feels the injustice, promises the dying man that he will look after Maya, on hearing this, Amarnath's father Sitanath decides to marry him off to prevent any liaison with Maya. However, Amarnath insists on marrying Maya and leaves his ancestral home following a quarrel with his father. He vows not to use his family name. He marries Maya and starts practicing as a doctor. Maya gives birth to a son. But she dies in childbirth. Amarnath tries bringing up his son on his own but soon decides to leave the child in Sitanath's care. The child soon grows up to be a young man, wanting to marry a low-caste girl. This is not acceptable to Sitanath. However, after a confrontation, Sitanath agrees to the match. It is on the wedding day that reconciliation takes place between Sitanath and Amarnath.
