Re-upload of my old Pertwee Tribute

Although I hate the music, there's been enough requests for this deleted tribute to return that I thought I'd upload it again. Luckily it is the only tribute I still had on disk (the others I deleted after their original upload) so here it is again, for all those YouTubers who don't dislike Bonnie Tyler!

Jon Pertwee - Doctor Who - Tribute A tribute to the third incarnation of the Doctor. Doctor Who is copyright BBC. As picked up on by Primsong, some of the footage in this video does come from other tributes to Jon Pertwee/ the Third Doctor Who on YouTube, including the work of Babelcolour. Splink - Jon Pertwee (1976)

Jon Pertwee (the third Doctor Who) stars in one of the most (in)famous Central Office of Information films, using the mnemonic 'SPLINK' to educate kids in the correct way to cross the road. The slogan proved far too complex for children to remember - in a survey of 595 children, precisely none could recall what each letter stood for. Matt Smith Vs Jon Pertwee Vs The Orbital

Matt Smith took to the stage with Orbital at this year's Glastonubry - but he wasn't the first Doctor to make musical genius. That honour goes to Jon Pertwee's AWESOME "I Am The Doctor". This is a the first pass at a mash-up between the two. There are some nice synchronous moments (think Dark Side of the Moon and Wizard of Oz). I'll mix in more of the crowd sounds etc when I can. Footage is (C) BBC.

Alternative Jon Pertwee theme using 1980 Howell's theme - plus surprise!

This is my second attempt at the 1970 theme tune using Howell's 1980 theme as a basis. This time, though I beat-matched and transposed the 1980 theme downwards by 13%, so that it is the same pitch as the 1970 version. I also pitch-bent the first starting bass note, just like it is in the original theme tune. Overall, it's much closer than the version I posted for Tom Baker. And now for the surprise: (at about 0:36 you have the result of me layering my version with the original 1970 version - listen how close I got it - and how good they sound TOGETHER!).

Doctor Who Step Back In Time Jon Pertwee

Jon Pertwee, who played the Third Doctor, was born 7 July, 1919. To celebrate his birthday week, the latest Step Back in Time features a clip from his 1973 adventure, Carnival of Monsters. He was born John Devon Rowland Pertwee in Chelsea, London and in his late teens studied at the world renowned RADA. He found success with films including Murder at the Windmill (1949), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1969) and a number of Carry On movies, but prior to his time on Doctor Who he was probably best known for starring in BBC Radio's The Navy Lark. He took the role of the Doctor in 1969 and his first episode was transmitted the following year. Carnival of Monsters was the second story of his fourth season and co-starred Katy Manning as companion Jo Grant. The Third Doctor regenerated in the 1974 story, Planet of the Spiders, but Jon Pertwee made several come backs as the Time Lord, most notably in the 1983 story, The Five Doctors. www.bbc.co.uk *THIS VIDEO IS IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM FOR PROFIT.
