iPhone 5 Roundup: Aaron's Hardware Requests

VOTE NOW for your favorite smartphone at www.phonedog.com In this iPhone 5 Roundup, Aaron focuses on the hardware side of things. The iPhone 4S design is old - ancient in tech years. It's time for a refresh, and the iPhone 5 (or iPhone 6, or new iPhone) needs some new goods. A bigger display is needed, 4G LTE and a bigger battery are crucial, and a thinner design would be neat. A $99 entry-level variant would be really nice as well (read: NOT the iPhone 4S at a lower price point). What would YOU like to see in the next iPhone? LG DoublePlay Unboxing The LG DoublePlay features a unique dual-screen design that is intended to make multi-tasking even easier. Does this system work? Sprint carries a phone with a similar design, the Kyocera Echo. The problem is, that phone didn't sell very well. HTC Sensation XE Unboxing

Would you buy this when the Galaxy Nexus is coming? pdog.ws Unboxing time, and this time around, it's an unboxing that will appeal to the international audience! Aaron takes a first look at the HTC Sensation XE, and while it resembles T-Mobile's HTC Sensation 4G, it offers improved specs like a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU, 4.3-inch qHD display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, a front facing camera, new grey/red color scheme, and is the first device to offer Beats integration as part of HTC's new partnership with Beats by Dr. Dre. It's not available in the United States at the moment (the Sensation 4G is our go-to device), but nonetheless, it's a nice device. Though a capacitive touchscreen is generally better, some people still prefer a resistive touchscreen. When buying a phone, how are you supposed to tell the difference between the two? Is it worth it to spend more money on a phone with a capacitive touchscreen? VOTE NOW for your favorite smartphone! www.phonedog.com Aaron unboxes and does an early review of the HTC One S (global edition), one of the three devices announced at Mobile World Congress 2012 in February. Specifications include a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display (540x960 pixels), 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, 1650 mAh non-removable battery, and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with HTC Sense 4. HTC EVO View 4G Hands-On

HTC EVO View 4G Hands-On by Aaron We saw it at Mobile World Congress as the HTC Flyer, but HTC's new tablet is coming to the States as Sprint's HTC EVO View 4G. Featuring a 1.5 GHz processor, 7-inch display, Android 2.3 with HTC Sense 3.0 (or so they're calling it now), and two cameras, it's a decent tablet. Honeycomb would have been a nice touch, but HTC assured everyone that it would come in due time. Can it compete with the Galaxy Tab series and the Apple iPad 2? That's anyone's guess. Take a look and decide for yourself! ‪Facebook: www.facebook.com ‬ Twitter: www.twitter.com Forums: forums.phonedog.com Win Free Phones: sweeps.phonedog.com

PhoneDog Live 7.8.2011 Droid 3 official; iPhone 5 rumors; iPad HD; Should/Will Google Buy RIM?

The Droid 3 is finally here and it surprisingly came with little fanfare. Still, it's an exciting phone with amazing potential. We also saw a new leaked ad for the Droid Bionic which seems to point to its imminent release. (Don't cross your fingers though.) Both the Bionic and the Droid 3 are power house smartphones with a dual-core processor, a beautiful display, and the Bionic will support Verizon's 4G LTE network. It's disappointing that the Droid 3 is not a 4G phone and we talked about whether or not that would deter some people from buying it. No news broadcast would be complete without some iPhone and iPad rumors. We've heard some updates on what the next iPhone may look like and even some tips about a "cheap" version. We won't know for sure what Apple will debut this fall, but things are starting to come together and we have a pretty good idea of what to expect. These topics and more were discussed during this week's PhoneDog Live. If you'd like to watch the next episode of PhoneDog Live, we'll be broadcasting every Friday at 5 pm ET from our Ustream channel. You can watch it directly from Ustream or from our Facebook page. Apple New iPad Review Part 2

Vote for your favorite smartphone! www.phonedog.com It's no iPhone 5 (which should be arriving soon), but the Apple iPad 3 (which Apple is calling the new iPad) is an evolutionary upgrade from the iPad 2. Available now and starting at $499, it sports an Apple A5X CPU with quad-core graphics, a 9.7-inch Retina Display with 2048x1536 pixels, a 5-megapixel iSight shooter with 1080p HD video recording, a front-facing camera for FaceTime calls, and 4G LTE connectivity on Verizon or AT&T. Apple continues to do a great job with their tablets and as of now, lead the market. But it's a hot year for tablet technology, and like the smartphone world, Android is nipping at Apple's heels. Is this upgrade enough? Part 2 of 2. Facebook: www.facebook.com Twitter: www.twitter.com Vote For Your Favorite Smartphone: www.phonedog.com Win Free Phones: instantwin.phonedog.com

Is this phone even worth it? pdog.ws Cam from Today's iPhone (yes, let the jokes begin) makes another guest appearance on PhoneDog with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus!
