Stephen Hawking: Physics Leaves No Room For God

Channel 4 News 02 September 2010 From The Times: Modern physics leaves no place for God in the creation of the Universe, Stephen Hawking has concluded. Just as Darwinism removed the need for a creator in the sphere of biology, Britain's most eminent scientist argues that a new series of theories have rendered redundant the role of a creator for the Universe. In his forthcoming book, an extract from which is published exclusively in Eureka, published today with The Times, Professor Hawking sets out to answer the question: "Did the Universe need a creator?" The answer he gives is a resounding "no". Far from being a once-in-a-million event that could only be accounted for by extraordinary serendipity or a divine hand, the Big Bang was an inevitable consequence of the laws of physics, Hawking says. "Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the Universe exists, why we exist," he writes. "It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the Universe going," he finds. richarddawkins.net

Thank you Equestria Daily for putting this up, to fellow viewers, and of course the bronies. Without you and the awesome fan base, this wouldn't have been made. And a big thank you to Hasbro for sending me merchandise (i.imgur.com because of this, I cannot thank you enough. NOTE: The physics in this might not be 100% correct, but this was more for fun than actual science/calculations. Also we had to give it a rating for how physically correct it was, I only used XP and RP which basically meant physics outside this universe. Yes, it has happened. "Physical Impossibilities in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic." For our project, we had to find three scenes from any movie or TV show and use physics to find out if something was or wasn't possible. I got 100% on it. Dr. Michio Kaku, Theoretical Physicist: Fukishima Daiichi Nuclear Facility is a "Ticking Time Bomb"

Dr. Michio Kaku, Theoretical Physicist: Fukishima Daiichi Nuclear Facility is a "Ticking Time Bomb" The Japanese government is trying to calm fears about radiation levels and food safety in the region around the heavily damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power facility, even as it has raised the severity rating of the crisis to the highest possible level. "Radiation is continuing to leak out of the reactors, the situation is not stable at all," says Dr. Michio Kaku, professor of theoretical physics at the City University Of New York and the City College of New York, in an interview on Democracy Now! April 13. "The slightest disturbance could set off a full scale melt down at three nuclear power stations—far beyond what we saw at Chernobyl." Hyper-Dimensional ET Physics on Mars - 2-Hours

2-Hours - Digitally Restored - Richard Hoagland presents his evidence to the United Nations. In non-technical language, using official NASA photos and stunning computer graphics, Richard Hoagland, as head of an independent Mars investigation team, makes a case for crucial connections between ancient structures on the landscape of the planet Mars, the ruins of ancient civilizations on Earth and a new form of science called Hyper-Dimensional Physics. This presentation was given at the United Nations and filmed in 1992 and to this day remains a vitally important source of research about ancient extraterrestrial artifacts discovered on Mars and the Earth, and the discovery of Hyper-Dimensional Physics encoded within the relationship of these artifacts on Mars, and more importantly the implications of the discovery of Hyper-Dimensional Physics. This multimedia video presents new research not included in the original NASA Cydonia Briefings. NOW on DVD - Hoagland's Mars and the Moon / Mars Connection - 4 DVD Special Edition, Cat# U410. Physics Nobel Prize 2011 - Brian Schmidt

The Nobel Prize for physics in 2011 was awarded to Brian Schmidt, Adam Riess, and Saul Perlmutter for discovering that the universe is expanding at an accelerating rate. This finding was completely unexpected because it was thought that gravity should slow the expansion of the cosmos. The best current explanation of why the universe is accelerating is that there is some energy tied to empty space which pushes matter apart. This 'Dark Energy' makes up 73% of the universe but is very difficult to detect. Images courtesy of NASA/NASAimages.org and Maritza A. Lara-Lopez
