La 317e section 1964 - Director: Pierre Schoendoerffer Bruno Cremer, Jacques Perrin, Pierre Fabre, Manuel Zarzo, Boramy Tioulong retrografix.blogspot.de Set near the end of the bloody Indo-Chinese War in which the Vietnamese struggled to shuck off the yoke of French colonialism, this taut, provocative French war drama chronicles the events leading up to the slaughter of the French Army's 317th Platoon, a unit comprised of 41 Laotians and a quartet of French officers that was ordered to make it back to the safety of camp Dien Bien Phu. It is an arduous journey and the soldiers must not only battle constant ambushes, but also the jungle itself. Many soldiers die along the way. When they finally make it to the camp, they find the enemy waiting. Not one member of the platoon survives the ensuing slaughter.

For Fall/Winter 2012/13 Pierre Balmain, the Parisian house's secondary line, presents a glamorous wardrobe in black, white, grey and midnight blue that takes men and women with a poetic, downtown style from day into evening. The sinuous mood of the collection is set by a short black and white film shot by Martial Schmeltz, with art direction by Atelier Franck Durand. Inspired by late fifties/early sixties French and Italian films, models Melissa Stasiuk and the darkly handsome Adrien Sahores create a mating dance set to the haunting sounds of Bruno Alexiu's "Romy," taken from Henri-Georges Clouzot's 1964 unfinished film project "L'Enfer" (Hell).

Born in the town of Mont-Saint-Aignan, a suburb of the capital of Haute-Normandie région, Rouen, Jean-Claude Éloy studied at the Conservatoire de Paris, where his composition teacher was Darius Milhaud. L'Enfant (The Child)
Dispossessed twenty-year old Bruno (Jérémie Renier) lives with his eighteen-year-old girlfriend Sonia (Déborah François) in Seraing, an eastern Belgian steel town. They live off Sonia's unemployment benefits and the panhandling and petty theft committed by Bruno and his gang. Their lives change forever when Sonia gives birth to their child, Jimmy. She returns home after Jimmy's birth to find that Bruno has sublet their apartment to total strangers. After an initial and promising change of heart about becoming a father and changing his ways, Jimmy becomes little more to Bruno than a new source of wealth. Desperate for money and unable to face his parental responsibilities, Bruno sells Jimmy to a black market connection, who promises to find the child an adoptive home. Realizing the error in his actions Bruno sets out to try and undo his callous deed, leading him to a powerful personal transformation.
