Pitfall 2

Someone said, "Hey, let's make a sequel to the popular Pitfall," and a great game was made. Someone said, "Hey, let's port it to the Atari 800, and add a second level," and a greater game was made. Someone said, "Let's make a Pitfall game for the NES," and Pitfall Harry has yet to recover.
Classic Game Room HD - PITFALL! for Atari 2600 review

Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of PITFALL! for the Atari 2600 video computer system. This is the original PITFALL for the Atari 2600, an arcade video game classic released in 1982 by Activision. Pitfall had many sequels on many systems like the Atari 5200, Sega Genesis and Sony Playstation. The game seems like a nod to Harrison Ford in Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc. You play as Pitfall Harry and traverse the jungle looking for bars of gold, currency, cash, silver and diamond rings. Don't fall into the pits or get eaten by alligators! Old school! Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. The HD series is reviewing PS3, Genesis, NES, Atari and Xbox 360. Xbox Live Arcade XBLA.

Classic Game Room HD - PITFALL 2 for Atari 2600

"Just because the graphics are better doesn't mean the game is better" CGRHD reviews Pitfall II, The Lost Caverns for the Atari 2600, an arcade video game classic released in 1984 by Activision. This is the sequel to the popular coin-op style retro gaming classic, PITFALL! released in 1982. Pitfall2 Lost Caverns was also released on the Atari 5200 and other gaming consoles. Pitfall Harry returns as he descends into caverns filled with bats, frogs and other various monsters. The game seems like a nod to Harrison Ford in Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc. Maybe it even inspired Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade?? Activision Classics - Pitfall

Another big one...What Atari 2600 owner didn't have this game? Not many, if at all. I would think when I was young that it was the adventures of Jungle Boy against the evil forces of Jungle Girl to conquer the jungle and collect treasure along the way ("College football?" is what I would yell when he collects tresure since the fanfare since it sounded like the baseball "Charge!" theme, but I wasn't aware that it wasn't really a theme for football). I'm not really sure if this game is supposed to be spelled with the exclaimation or not; It's the same deal with Hero being abbreviated, but I suppose since many sources list them as "Pitfall!" and "HERO" these may be more accurate... In Pitfall, you must guide Pitfall ("Jungle Boy") Harry through the jungle as he traverses through many dangers while trying to collect the treasures. There's a time limit, so you can only go through the jungle for 20 minutes at most. To think that you could see the end... I got log-drilled quite a bit. I also had a couple of walk-ins, which I tend to do a lot, actually. Jumping on the snake was also something I haven't done for quite sometime...

Classic Game Room HD - PITFALL for Atari 5200 review

Classic Game Room HD reviews PITFALL for Atari 5200, PITFALL!! on Atari 5200 is very similar to Pitfall for Atari 2600 except with marginally better graphics and identical gameplay (and the use of the awful Atari 5200 controllers of course). Guide Pitfall Harry to fame and fortune as you jump over alligators, pits, swamp things, snakes and fires!! Swing, jump and dodge obstacles like logs to collect as many bars of gold and other riches in the time allotted to Pitfall Harry. Atari 5200 collectors may enjoy this take on Activisions classic Pitfall!, but others should just stick with the Atari 2600 version which is cheaper, easier to play with better controllers and pretty much identical.

Higurashi Kai - Pitfall Trap Scene

From Episode 3 of the second season; Episode 29 total (they are usually counted as separate shows though it seems) - Keiichi once again falls victim to Satoko's trap...But at least he's not alone this time? XD; Really though, Higurashi is such a misjudged show. I have seen people think it's everything from a harem comedy to a screwed up hentai (I can't for the life of me understand why someone would think it's the latter, as there is almost NOTHING perverted about it. The only thing perverted in the entire show are a few jokes; and hell, all anime has those). It's neither. Higurashi is a murder mystery/horror anime, and a very well-done one at that. I can't really explain the plot without spoiling something, so you'd have to watch it yourself, but IF YOU CAN STAND EXTREME VIOLENCE AND BLOOD I highly recommend this show. It is by far the best anime I have ever watched. -- Sorry for the crappy quality. This file underwent about four or five different conversions before uploading, and then one more when YouTube converted it to Flash. So that'd be the reason why. That's also the reason why my AMVs have crappy quality, too...^^; Also, expect to see a video soon, perhaps not a full one and probably not today, but a video nonetheless...In the near future. Enjoy XD.

This is NOT a tool-assisted run. Detailed comments about the run can be found on the game page. speeddemosarchive.com The run accomplishes the following: -Single-segment -No deaths -Takes damage to save time -Played at Hardest difficulty setting -Abuses programming errors to skip 2 boss fights The reason the SDA verification stamp and time aren't at the beginning of the video is because I couldn't edit the .mp4 file in 2 parts with Windows Movie Maker. I assure you this is my video, and my record. I'll answer any questions about the run.

Activision Classics - Pitfall (Treking Backwards)

Something as simple as to go left wasn't started in Metroid, as I recall that GameTrailers had commented on once. To think that I was seeing the end of the game by going that way, but now I know with the time limit, that can't happen. Boo. From the manual: "Game Controls: To run left or right, press the Left/Right Directional Buttons. To jump over dangers, press the X button while running left or right. To climb up or down ladders, press the Up/Down Directional Buttons. To grab a swinging vine, press the down Directional Button at the end of a swing. To collect treasure, just run right over it." I've gotten pretty far in the backwards trek, the --one can guess-- farthest I've ever gotten. Most of it can be thanked by my timing and the vine positions. To explain the phenonmenon, I would have to say it is eustress.
