PreCursor
PreCursor is an invisible layer that hovers in front of the screen and enables novel interaction that reaches beyond the current touchscreens. Using a computer mouse provides two levels of depth when interacting with content on a screen. One can just hover or can click. Hover allows receiving short descriptions, while click selects or performs an action. PreCursor provides this missing sense of interaction to touchscreens. In PreCursor, an infrared laser with a line cap creates an invisible laser plane that sits just in front of the computer screen. Two infrared cameras sit on the bottom two corners of the screen, facing upward at an angle. When the user's finger interrupts the light plane, the finger is lit by the IR light, creating a blob that the cameras can interpret using computer vision techniques. As the blob's position changes, each camera communicates with the other's input, and using Epipolar geometry maps the position of the blob to the screen. PreCursor technology has the potential to expand beyond a basic computer screen. It can also be applied to mobile touchscreens to objects in the real world, or can be the launching pad for creating a 3D space for interaction. www.pranavmistry.com

PS2 Longplay [018] Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
www.longplays.org Played by Johtto This is a longplay for the playstation game "Jak and Daxter : The Precursor Legacy." This game was created by Sony Computer Entertainment America and NaugtyDog. What a fantastic game to add to the Longplay collection. This game features our hero "Jak" and his sidekick/joker "Daxter," as they start their journey toward finding a way to change daxter back into a human. This longplay features every place in the game explored and all of the "power cells" captured. Some problems with capturing all (101) of the power cells was to make sure i showed the 2 secret power cells. One at the entrance of the spider caves, as also the one that can be obtained when riding the zoomber toward the red sages hut. To obtain the power cell at the spider caves, you must have the yellow eco vents opened and be very speedy. Charge with some eco from the caves then run back up the stone steps towards the coal buckets then fire some eco and you should hit it. The other secret cell is a bit harder to get too. If the eco vent is opened and you can get yellow eco, use the eco on the stone wall just before entering the cave. If the vent is closed, go back towards the lava monster who throws rocks, hope off the zoomer, and head for the wall. Once at the wall, go to the right side of the wall and do a crouch jump and spin to make it over. then just jump to the other side to get the power cell. First Powercell: Difficulty: 1/5 You actually have to try to miss this one, it's right in front of you after the first ledge! Second Powercell: Difficulty: 1/5 It's in all the scout-fly boxes, in this level they are all right next to each other for demonstrational purposes, so just break all of the boxes and you'll get it! Third Powercell: Difficulty: 1/5 Again, pretty difficult to miss this one. Just open the giant precursor door (Which you have to do), and it's right behind it. Fourth Powercell: Difficulty: 1/5 Finally, this one is right in your path once again, just grab it once you reach the top of the cliff, it's right next to the floating platform. Precursor Orbs: Most of them are really easy, as they'll be in your path in this level. However, after you get the Powercell from the Scout Fly's, jump off the cliff next to it, those should be the only ones you'll have any sort of trouble finding.

Jak and Daxter is a video game franchise originally developed by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation 2. There are four games in the main series (with two spin-offs) that have been released, with Jak as the primary playable character in all except Daxter for the PlayStation Portable. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (2001) - The first game, released for PlayStation 2 in 2001. Jak and his best friend Daxter go to Misty Island, despite being forbidden from doing so. Daxter falls into a silo full of Dark Eco and turns into an ottsel. Jak must take him on a journey to return him to his original form. Jak II (2003), known as Jak II: Renegade in other parts of the world - The second game, released for PlayStation 2 in 2003. It begins where the storyline left off at the end of the first game. Jak and the gang are catapulted into the future and separated. Jak is thrown into prison for two years and used in the Dark Warrior Program.
