We've noticed that people don't have any idea what (or where) we're talking about when we mention that we recently traveled to Chernobyl & Pripyat. Pripyat is a completely modern abandoned city about 2km from Chernobyl, inside of the Chernobyl exclusion zone, in Ukraine. Over 20 years ago (26 April, 1986), there was an accident in one of the nuclear reactors there that became one of the worst technological disasters in history. We got some really fantastic footage of both cities as well as the reactor. When we put the film together, we thought it would be helpful to include some information about what happened. 25 years have passed since the Chernobyl disaster, but people still remember the tragedy, especially those who lived in the nearby city of Pripyat. The town was not immediately evacuated after the incident, and the general population of the Soviet Union was not informed of the disaster until a few days later. The evacuation began at 14:00 on April 27. To speed things up, residents were told to only take the bare necessities, as the authorities said it would only last about three days. The author of this video, Michail Nazarenko, was making a film about an atomic plant and happened to be in Pripyat. He also filmed the evacuation there.At the day of evacuation, the official level of radiation in Pripyat reached 1 Roentgen per hour, but people say it was 7 Roentgens. This makes a difference, because in first case, the population would die within two or three months. While in second, people would die in several days.

This is my guide on how to find the Oasis and the 'Heart of the Oasis' artifact in STALKER: Call of Pripyat. There were many guides out there that gave false information about how to find the Oasis, so I created a guide that actually does lead you to it. By following my steps in this video, you'll find the Oasis easily with no trouble. You must enter the station shown in Yanov. Upon entering, you will encounter a few zombies and rats, though they are easily taken care of. After trekking through, you will each a room with multiple columns. To get through this area to the Oasis is easy, and the easiest way is to walk through each lost of columns directly, as shown. After you walk through one, you will be teleported back to the start and a field of falling stars will fall above a certain column. Walk through all the columns like shown and reveal all the star fields. After you have walked straight through all the columns, walk through the star fields from start to finish and then you will be able to enter the Oasis. To reach the Heart of the Oasis artifact, you may have to jump as it is held up in a vine. Upon collecting the artifact, multiple pseudodogs will appear, so watch out for them.
