The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (Trailer)
Two drag-queens, Mitzi (Hugo Weaving) and Felicia (Guy Pearce), and a transexual, Bernadette (Terrence Stamp) contract to perform a drag show at a resort in Alice Springs, a resort town in the remote Australian desert. They head west from Sydney aboard their lavender bus, Priscilla. When they arrive they discover that it is more than just a cabaret job waiting for them. It's the Australian film that blitzed overseas box offices. It caused a near riot at the Cannes Film Festival. It won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design. READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING: YES I KNOW THAT IT IS "BARK AND LEAVES" NOT "SPARKLING LEAVES" I've posted many comments about it and it's also in the description (see below) but apparently that doesn't get read much. I'm tempted to put an annotation on the video informing everyone that yes, I know, but I really don't like those things... And I've lost my original video file so I can't re-upload. I'm very sorry about the mistake, but unfortunately it is going to stay that way :( Lyrics to Priscilla Ahn's beautiful song "Dream" from her album 'A Good Day'. Featured on Grey's Anatomy (episode: Freedom). I own nothing! I'm not quite sure where I got the picture of her, I think it was a Google search result... The image of the castle (which I used because it seemed like someone's distant dream, like in the song) is from digitalblasphemy.com. The song, obviously, is written/sung by Priscilla Ahn. No copyright infringement of any kind intended--this was made out of admiration and for entertainment purposes only...
