Originally intended to be a 30-minute short produced for PBS, it eventually led to five years of filming and 250 hours of footage. It premiered at the 1994 Sundance Film Festival where it won the Audience Award for Best Documentary. Featured are Bill Dendle - Trombone, Rusty Stiers - Trumpet, Anita Thomas - Woodwinds, Ed Metz Jr. - Drums, Jason Wanner - Piano, Eddie Erickson - Banjo, Westy Westenhofer - Bass/Tuba, Terry Myers - Woodwinds, Greg Varlotta - Trumpet Theannual Sacramento Traditional Jazz Camp hosts student jazz musicians from teenagers to senior citizens. Every summer, the camp is held for two weeks in the California Sierras. The camp is focused on improvisation, both individual and group, with an emphasis on taking theory into practice at all times. Students are assigned to bands with players of similar ability and experience, and perform in a final concert. There are nightly performances and jam sessions, with campers and faculty participating. Campers receive semi-private lessons, group instruction, and attend theory classes.

For the Stooges, its not prosperity thats around the corner, but more often, con men on the lookout for "suckers" to swindle ("A Ducking They Will Go," "Playing the Ponies"). Reflecting Americas can-do spirit, the Stooges are nothing if not resilient. These shorts may find them down, but they are never out. The boys are ungainfully employed as Calvary spies ("Goofs and Saddles"), janitors ("Three Missing Links"), dog washers ("Mutts to You"), firemen ("Flat Foot Stooges"), traveling salesmen ("Saved by the Belle"), and vets ("Calling all Curs").
