Millions of Iranians at the International Al-Quds day against the West 2011
Millions of Iranians across the country took part in rallies marking the international Al-Quds day. Chanting such slogans as down with Israel, down with the US, people from different walks of life once again got together to voice support for Palestinians and express their hatred toward the expansionist policies of Israel. Issuing a resolution, the demonstrators denounced Israel's atrocities against the Palestinian people and called for the liberation of Palestine. The protesters also condemned the violent crackdown against opposition protesters in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad like other Iranian officials joined demonstrators in Tehran. In a speech he called on the Palestinians to focus on liberating the entire Palestine from Israel. The recognition of an independent Palestinian state is only the first step toward liberating Palestine. No one can claim to be a proponent of freedom and democracy and yet be a friend of Israel. Israel is what keeps the colonial powers united and has a mission to impose a reign of terror on the world. According to the leader of the Islamic revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali khamenei the recent popular developments in Muslim countries such as Egypt, Libya and Bahrain have been influenced by the massive movement of the Iranian people back in 1979. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the International Quds Day against Israeli hostilities in the Middle East has paved the way for Tel Aviv's collapse. Addressing a large protest rally in the Iranian capital Tehran, President Ahmadinejad said that "the Zionists are groups of hypocrite racists who have been operating under the pretext of following Jewish religion principles." He further added that Israel was fabricated by the West to promote their colonialist scheme through materialistic agenda in the new world. The Iranian chief executive blasted the recent direct talks between Israel and Palestinian Authority officials on the Palestinian issue and said, "Only Palestinians could decide on their own lands not foreign powers." The Iranian president accused the Middle East moderators who have been engaged in direct talks with Israeli officials of being accomplice to the Israeli atrocities against Palestinians. He further pointed out that Israel has been on decline over the popular resistance and global awakening against its aggressions and is on the brink of collapse despite the US financial and military backup to save it. He also called on Western powers to abandon their support of "the Zionists" and renounce their agenda. When some Jews dared to uncover a Muslim woman, it didnt take long for the banners of the Muslim armies led by the Messenger himself to hover around their fortresses. They where defeated by the Muslim forces, and the entire Jewish Community, (not just the perpetrators) where driven out from Madina — all of them, down to the last man. This is how serious such a matter is. Centuries later, a Muslim woman was taken prisoner by the Roman Army and called for help from the Abassid Khalifah of the time, al Mutasim. The response to her plea from the Muslims of that time was the complete severance of diplomatic relations, and Declaration of War against the superpower of the time. But today, no one knows or even seems to care about their brothers and sisters who are in need of their help.. The Messenger of Allah, as narrated in Sahih al Bukhari, said: Release the prisoner. It is a clear and direct order to Muslims until the end of time. The Scholars of Islam state that if a Muslim in the East is taken prisoner, it becomes mandatory on the Muslims of the West to seek his release, even if that would lead to them expending all of their wealth.
