The Regions of the Brain The brain has three major functional and anatomical parts--the forebrain, midbrain and hindbrain. The forebrain consists of the cerebral hemispheres, thalami, hypothalamus and limbic system. The top inch of the brain stem is the midbrain. The hindbrain includes the cerebellum, the pons and the medulla. Other parts of the brain's anatomy include: the cerebral cortex, a thin layer of nerve cells on the surface of the cerebral hemispheres; the cerebrum, composed of many millions of nerve fibers, is covered by the cerebral cortex; the corpus callosum, a C-shaped collection of fibers, forms a bridge between the left and right hemispheres; the thalamus, which relays and receives messages to and from other areas of the brain; the limbic system, concerned with memory and emotion; the cerebellum, the largest part of the hindbrain and responsible for balance and the fine control of muscle movements; and the hypothalamus, which lies below the third ventricle of the brain, and regulates many of the body's functions and the activity of the pituitary gland.

Transcription is the process by which the information in DNA is copied into messenger RNA (mRNA) for protein production. Originally created for DNA Interactive ( www.dnai.org ). TRANSCRIPT The Central Dogma of Molecular Biology: "DNA makes RNA makes protein" Here the process begins. Transcription factors assemble at a specific promoter region along the DNA. The length of DNA following the promoter is a gene and it contains the recipe for a protein. A mediator protein complex arrives carrying the enzyme RNA polymerase. It manoeuvres the RNA polymerase into place... inserting it with the help of other factors between the strands of the DNA double helix. The assembled collection of all these factors is referred to as the transcription initiation complex... and now it is ready to be activated. The initiation complex requires contact with activator proteins, which bind to specific sequences of DNA known as enhancer regions. These regions may be thousands of base pairs distant from the start of the gene. Contact between the activator proteins and the initiation-complex releases the copying mechanism. The RNA polymerase unzips a small portion of the DNA helix exposing the bases on each strand. Only one of the strands is copied. It acts as a template for the synthesis of an RNA molecule which is assembled one sub-unit at a time by matching the DNA letter code on the template strand. Hi everybody today I was reading some comment on Tutorial #8 video and YouTube user SiderealXXX posted a good comment. SiderealXXX provided another way to chop sample up in Logic. In this video I show you a couple more ways on how to chop samples in Logic Also here is a step-by-step guide: 1. Select your audio. 2. Go to the drop down menu audio and select convert regions to new sampler track. 3.Click ok and you are done. Option 2: 1. Select your audio file. 2. Press play and chop up your sample using the shortcut for cut by playhead. 3. Select all your regions that you cut. 4. Go to the audio drop down menu and click convert audio regions to new sampler track. 5. Click create zone from regions and click ok. Option 3: 1. Select your audio file. 2. Click you shortcut to forward by transient (if you don't know what key it is hit option K and search in the search bar (search: forward by transient). 3. Hit the shortcut to forward by transient and cut on the transients you would like. 4. Select all your regions that you cut. 5. Click creat zone from regions and click ok. 6.
