He uses LINE6 POD XT.I don't have it unfortunately.So I used LINE6 GUITARPORT for sound source instead.It uses PC as effect-DSP and DAC is 44.1kHZ/16bits. He's considering AVALON DESIGN U5.But I thought some other DI should be added as samples to compare. All DI were Plugged into RME Fireface800 and all the sources were recorded by LOGIC PRO7.2. On Logic,added NO EFFECTS but only output level adjustment. The guitar is my custom-made Strato with Bartolini pick-ups. Ash body and no tremolo unit. All the sources were played on Rhythm pick-up(forward) and Lead pick-up(backward) The followings are the Table of contents : 1:DIRECT FROM GUITARPORT CLEAN Without DI,Direct to RME. Amp-simulator : "59Tweed Bassman" Gain=3,VOL=10,TONEs are all "5"(middle) 2:AVALON DESIGN U5 TONE=OFF CLEAN (OFF=BYPASS) 3:AVALON DESIGN U5 TONE=3 CLEAN U5 has 6Preset-Tone. It's called reamping, it's fairly simple to do, and it requires a few specialty bits if hardware — like the Radial ProRMP Studio Reamper and JDI passive direct box. A reamping box like the Radial ProRMP is a lot like a direct box with one special difference: Instead of converting between instrument- and microphone-level signals, it converts between line- and instrument-level signals. On top of that, the ProRMP is fitted with a passive volume pot that's got a similar impedance to the pot you'll find in many electric guitars, so you can trim audio but still present your amplifier with a guitar-like-load. Hi all, This is the end result of a recent refit I did for my home studio. What you see is the back half of my bedroom which I have partitioned off to build my studio space using acoustic office partitions. The room corners have large fibreglass insulation packages wrapped in cloth to act as bass traps with a few acoustic foam panels at the wall and ceiling reflection points as well as against the windows to reduce outside road noise. Since my last video I got rid of my Pro Tools HD2 system due to frustration with the direction of Avid and uncertainty about where they were going with the software and the HD line up. Seeing the recently released HD Native I must say it was a timely move on my part getting out of the mess. Decided to move to a more songwriter friendly setup using Logic Studio as my main DAW. Got to say I have never been happier and can't believe what a step up Logic is in functional capability compared to the now buggy dinosaur that is Pro Tools. I just wish I did this changeover sooner. Some kudos has to go to the PrismSound Orpheus which replaced my Digi 192 i/o. The Orpheus is a beast of audio clarity and matches beautifully with the X-Desk which has transformed my tracking and monitoring chain and the clarity of my mixes. For anyone who doubts the X-Desk and its "sound" and it's value for money you can take it from me it definitely is worth every cent. Hard to describe what it does to my audio chain but mixing just seems easier. Having a fully native <b>...</b>
