The Sno*Drift Rally was held on over 130 miles of snow and ice-covered roads in northern Michigan. The forest roads were a virtual skating rink after recent warm weather melted the snow cover which then refroze this past week, leaving the roads covered in a thick sheet of ice. Rally America rules prohibit the use of spiked or studded ice-tires, placing a high premium on traction. Pastrana, the defending four-time Rally America National Champion, won by over one minute and thirty seconds driving an open class rally specification 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. In an amazing show of determination and grit, Pastrana completed the event nursing an extremely sore collarbone which he broke in a motocross accident less than a week ago. Calling the stage notes is Pastrana's long time co-driver Christian Edstrom.

One of the oldest rally races on the schedule, Susquehannock Trail (commonly known as STPR) began in 1977. It is not only the oldest, but it is also the fastest rally in North America. With roads consisting of clay and gravel, the course is slippery, fast and extremely dangerous. Drivers travel at speeds reaching 100 MPH through densely wooded roads. The speeds combined with the dangerous course ensure that this rally is not for the feint at heart.

The third race on Rally America's schedule, Oregon Trail takes place in the woods outside the city of Portland. With fast stretches combined with twisting wooded runs through the Tillamook State Forest this rally is always packed with excitement. The lush, wet woods provide trees and ditches galore that are constant worries for the drivers and their co-drivers. Travis Pastrana and co-driver Christian Edstrom were forced to retire from the rally early with an engine problem. This was an entirely new experience for Pastrana, who in his fourth season of rallying with a Subaru had never retired from an event due to a mechanical issue. Subaru Rally Team USA driver Ken Block posted a 2nd overall finish and moved into the lead of the 2007 Rally America National Championship standings. Subaru Rally Team USA driver Ken Block earned a critical win at Rally Colorado, setting the stage for a three-way shootout for the Rally America title. It was the second victory of the year for Block and co-driver Alex Gelsomino. They battled back from an early deficit to the RockStar Energy Drink Rally Team of Tanner Foust and Chrissie Beavis, who had found themselves down on power and suffered a flat tire on their 2007 Subaru WRX STi. In third place were Travis Pastrana and co-driver Christian Edstrom, who were fortunate to recover from an exciting off-road excursion on Day 1 with little more than a flat tire. Pastrana called it "the most fun I've ever had in a car in my whole life" when his 2006 Subaru WRX STi toppled over a cliff and landed 60 yards off the road in a field. The pair regained the course and lost little time to their opponents. It was at this rally in 2005 that Pastrana famously slid wide on a corner and rolled his top-spec Subaru seven and three-quarter times.

This is a short video of our trip to Mongolia. We were part of the Mongol Rally which runs from England to Mongolia. The goal is to get to Ulaan Bataar in a small 1000cc car. My brother and I decided to do it in a 400€ Renault 4! It took us 51 days to get there, despite the fact we left with almost no visas and had get them on the way. It was an amazing trip, and we are already planning another trip, a bit further though... Enjoy

European-style wheel-to-wheel rallycross made its US debut in thrilling style on August 28-29, 2010 with the help of a determined performance by Subaru driver Travis Pastrana in his 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. Starting from the rear of a six car grid after a restart of the Final, Pastrana worked his way through the field to finish 2nd overall. Pastrana's Subaru Rally Team USA teammate, Dave Mirra, finished close behind in 3rd overall. The Rallycross, organized by RallyCar (formerly Rally America), was held at the Lightning Bolt course of New Jersey Motorsports Park, a 1.9-mile track which was modified to include three dirt sections with a total distance of 1.3 miles. Pastrana's performance wowed the thousands of fans in attendance and helped create a memorable debut for the sport in America.
