At one point the Prince Regent wanted to build a vast number of palace-type mansions around Regent's Park. When it actually came to it though only three or four were built. This is one of them in the distance as seen from the Inner Circle of Regent's Park. It is along here too that you find the Open Air Theatre that will hold some 1200 people on a warm summer evening.

First generation diesel multiple units at London Marylebone Station, before one of the trainsheds was removed. Only the high number platforms are being used, as the others are closed for refurbishment. Also listen to announcements. In addition to the trains this videoclip also shows the station concourse. At the end is a short sequence showing the Bakerloo Line Underground platforms (plus train, & pre-dot matrix 'next train' describers). When encoded this was assumed to be from Marylebone too, but onlter watching the final edit before uplifting was it realised that the UndergrounD views actually come from regents park station, which is a couple of stops along the line.

WARNING!! Very boring clip. As seen by the poor driver........ Location: Australia, Sydney's Rail Network. Sefton Park Junction is contained between three stations on the network viz. Regents Park, Birrong and Sefton (google map may help in a better understanding of the tracks). The tracks: Main line - Between Sefton and Regents Park. East Fork - Between Birrong and Regents Park. West Fork - Between Birrong and Sefton. Goods Junction - Junction of East Fork, West Fork, Bankstown Line and Freight Line to Enfield and Chullora. In simple terms........ a very complicated junction. Synopsis: Train has departed Birrong and is headed towards Regents Park. Approximate Time markers: 0:40 seconds, on the right side freight lines from Chullora and Enfield can be seen. 1:10 seconds: just after the overbridge where the track workers are you may note the West Fork heading towards Sefton station 2:20 seconds: note the main line on the left hand side that we finally turn into, coming from Sefton. British Sea Power joined by The London Bulgarian Choir perform the finale of their gig at the Open Air Theatre in Regents Park, London. An extended version of "All In It" featuring Ursine Ultra, the bear who appears at the end of their concerts. Security staff struggle to tame the audience as foliage and people shower the stage in a venue more accustomed to Shakespeare. "All In It" can be found on their Mercury Music Prize nominated album "Do You Like Rock Music?" and six members of the London Bulgarian Choir sang with British Sea Power on "Waving Flags" at the award ceremony hosted by Jools Holland

The Summer In The City journey continues where we left off at the end of the previous episode, Camden Lock. We now take the canal path from the lock (where narrowboats ascend or descend between two different sections of the canal) walking towards Regents Park. The canal is a peaceful, idyllic, 'hidden' London that few tourists know about. Half way through the episode we arrive at the north entrance to Regents Park and walk south through some beautiful floral gardens and fountains. Finally we end up exiting Regents Park at its southern perimeter and cross Marylebone Road into Park Cresent. As this episode concludes there is a sense that this peaceful part of the journey is about to end...
