Breathless: Rialto Pictures Trailer
New theatrical trailer for Godard's BREATHLESS, produced in 2010 (for the film's 50th anniversary re-release) by Robert Warmflash Productions for Rialto Pictures. Inspired by Godard's original 1960 French trailer, the new trailer was written and directed by Rialto co-president Bruce Goldstein and edited by Arthur Carlson. The voice-overs are by Marie Loisier (programmer of the Alliance Française in New York) and Sébastien Sanz de Santamaria.

RELEASED MAY 2011 After last summer's lo-fi debut 'Radiate,' The Rialto Burns release the 'For The Asking' EP on 23 May 2011 - an energetic 10 tracker full of cavernous, dark moments, electrical soaring highs, and some dirty edges. "Love, loss, hope and salvation -- we're trailing through 'em all," says Adam. Seen it, done it and still haven't learnt a lesson is the first insight, on "seedy but reflective" opener 'For The Asking.' Fuelled by stuttering drums and glinting guitar flecks, 'Learning To Fight' eulogises on the need to face facts and move on. "It seems quite melancholic, but there's an underlying optimism," says Adam. Opening with a growling industrial snarl and powered by a relentless guitar riff. Next is 'Constellations' - the first track ever written - aptly, it's about following your dreams, sometimes at the cost of those around you. 'New Year's Day' is a cover of the U2 track which, put simply by Al, "Was too good a song to be left on the shelf," and the EP closer 'Radiate' touches on sidelined friendships and the hope of reunion. The EP also includes live versions, remixes and videos. "We wanted to offer a snapshot of all aspects of our world," says Pottsy. "It already feels like we've done a lot in a short time." The Rialto Burns release first single, Radiate, through Gung-Ho Recordings on 7 June. itunes.apple.com Radiate opens with a growling industrial snarl that crashes into a relentless guitar riff, towering synths and brooding vocals. Id been let down by a friend and wed drifted apart, says frontman Adam. I thought Id moved onto better things, then realisation hit: no-ones perfect. Sometimes we all need saving. The Rialto Burns are named after a newspaper headline during the 9 day Toxteth race riots of 1981 which saw the Rialto Ballroom burnt to the ground. They formed two years ago after a domino effect of chance meetings powered by a shared love of The Smiths, New Order, Echo & The Bunnymen and Devo. The story spirals, rather exotically, from the inner city indie hangouts of Liverpool, to a bedroom in North Wales. Paul (bass) and Alex (guitar) both served time in bands theyd rather forget, Cogsy (guitar) bumped into Paul in a pub, and an ad was placed on Gigwise, which Adam (vocalist) answered. They also spent a year hunting for a drummer, but eventually decided to opt for a drum machine instead less sweat and drum-sticks flying around. Since, theyve been slaving away in the studio on the album, gigging across the UK with the likes of Hot Club De Paris and Good Shoes, and working on a few lo-fi videos. The Rialto Burns release Radiate on 7 June the album follows early August. They hit London on April 22 for a show at The Water Rats.

Washington Coast Hike. Rialto Beach to Lake Ozette in the Olympic National Park
From April 17 to 20, 2010, 11 friends backpacked from Rialto Beach, near Forks, Washington, north to Cape Alava and Lake Ozette. It was cool and sometimes rainy. The scenery was magnificent with many offshore islands and "haystacks". We saw many bald eagles, deer, harbor seals and fortunately - no bears. Except for the first day we hiked at low tide to be able to get around the rocky headlands. I hope that you enjoy these pics. The first piece of music is "The Immigrant" by Joanie Madden. The next, of course, is Louis Armstrong. The "Chilean" and "Norwegian" memorials commemorate the crews lost when their ships foundered on the rocky coast there.
