Heathkit SB-220 Rebuilt Hacked Amp

This is a Heathkit SB-220 I purchased off of eBay advertised as "working" However when I got it , sure it was "working" if you want to talk on CB band. Come on guys, you didnt have to cut out the other bands if you wanted it to talk on CB!!!! Examination of the circuits revealed every input network cut out, the 10 meter coil missing (was underneath in a messy soldering hack job) and all output coils were missing except the 10 meter one. I was able to restore without parts 15 20 40 and 80 meters. The mica caps for 10 meters were missing, and they hacked the 10 meter tap on the 15 meter coil so badly I could not solder it back to the bandswitch. They did leave the form for the 20/80 coil so I rewound that using pictures from the Internet and 14 gauge copper wire. Seems to work OK on every band but 10M. I did get a rebate from the seller though ... to pay for replacement parts needed. In waiting for those to show up, I decided to take on the challenge of doing this manually. Seems to work eh?

The DAF SB220 is a city bus chassis produced by DAF Bus International (now known as VDL Bus Chassis) in the 1980s and 1990s. It has been superseded by the DAF/VDL SB200 and SB250 .The Delta was launched in 1988. The first example to be sold to an operator came in February 1989, when independent Northern Bus bought a single vehicle which it later sold to Manchester-based Walls.[2] Other early customers included Crosville Cymru, which took two three months later[3], and Ogden's Travel, which also acquired two at the same time.[4] Reading Buses bought ten Deltas in 1990[5], while Northumbria Motor Services and Teesside Motor Services also bought large numbers.[6] Potteries Motor Traction was another customer, with its first example arriving in August 1990.[1] Production of the Delta ceased in 1999.[citation needed] [edit]Optare Delta in culture An Optare Delta in all-over red livery is featured as a driveable vehicle in the PlayStation 2 game The Getaway, and its sequel The Getaway: Black Monday

DAF SB220 (Walter Alexander) - SMRT Buses Service 985 (Part One)

The batch of DAF SB220s introduced by then-TIBS is the second generation. They were fitted with Voith D381.4 three-speed automatic transmission, and uses the Lawo Luminator Europa (now LAWO) dot-matrix EDS. Bodied by Walter Alexander under the Setanta make, they were arguably the worst-looking buses of the entire fleet. TIBS initially used these buses as replacement spares, but under SMRT Buses they have been confined to suburban routes. In the recent years, interesting refittings have been made for some of these buses., such as this one. In this journey, it makes the long-distance leg from Bukit Timah to Toa Payoh via the Pan-Island Expressway. The DAF SB220 is a city bus chassis produced by DAF Bus International (now known as VDL Bus Chassis) in the 1980s and 1990s. It has been superseded by the DAF/VDL SB200 and SB250. Ikarus is a bus manufacturer based in Budapest, Hungary. It was established in 1895 as Uhri Imre Kovács- és Kocsigyártó Üzeme (roughly: "Imre Uhri's Blacksmith Workshop and Carriage Factory"). By 1913, the company focused mainly on constructing cars and due to increased sales during World War I it made great profits. In 1927, Ikarus had won an international tender and it was this year that large scale production could begin by delivering 60 shuttle buses. Following the Wall Street Crash the company became bankrupt as it did not receive any significant orders and it had to be closed down. In 1935 the company had resumed production and was fully functioning during World War II. On 23 February 1949, Ikarus was officially established when it merged with airplane manufacturer Ikarus Gép és Fémgyár Rt. In 1955 and 1956 with the new front engine models (Ikarus 620, 630 and 31) the company's foreign sales were boosted and apart from Eastern-European countries, China, Burma and Egypt started using them in several of their cities. By 1962, Ikarus delivered 8000 buses abroad and in 1970 it won second place at an expo in Monaco showing its prominence in Europe. In 1971, over 100000 buses were manufactured and sales increased year-by-year. By 1973, Ikarus became the world's fourth largest manufacturer, but ...
