Mercedes has officially unveiled the SLS AMG Roadster, ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Designed to be the pinnacle of open-top motoring, the Roadster features a three-ply soft top that can be raised or lowered in eleven seconds at speeds up to 31 mph (50 km/h). While the roof is fully automatic and has a glass rear window, it doesn't steal any trunk space as the SLS has a cargo capacity of 6.1 cubic feet (173 liters) regardless of the top's position. Inside, the cabin is elegantly appointed with designo leather upholstery, metallic trim and AMG sports seats with AIRSCARF. Options include a Bang & Olufsen audio system and an AMG Performance Media system that displays real-time vehicle information. Power is provided by a 6.3-liter (6208cc) V8 engine that produces 563 hp (420 kW / 571 PS) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and hit a limited top speed of 197 mph (317 km/h), same as the SLS Gullwing. To ensure the Roadster handles just like the SLS Gullwing, engineers made numerous improvements to strengthen the chassis. Despite the changes, Mercedes estimates the car will weigh 3661 pounds (1661 kg) which is just 88 lbs (40 kg) heavier than the coupe. Here is the 1st video of a serial videos of the Zoute Grand Prix 2011. It was a classic supercars rally but some new supercars was there too and was exposed for people. It was the first of my life i saw a Bugatti EB110 GT on the road ( 2nd one i see in real !!) I think this car is the unique Belgian EB 110 GT. Great surprise also when i saw the 1st Belgian Mclaren MP4-12C :D and for the finish, when i took the come back road, there was a Mclaren Mercedes SLR Roadster and i took some shoot with my Figaro ;) Also of course, great others supercars were present like the Audi R8 Spyder, 2x Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640, lots of Gallardo, 2x Ferrari FF also 2x, SLS AMG Roadster,( second cars in another video ).
