For the 2011 model year there are several model designations for the new SRX including Base, Luxury, Performance, Premium, Turbo Performance, and Turbo Premium. The basic differences in the performance and the premium is climate control for the rear passengers, ventilated seats for the front, and a couple of small things, other than that the performance and premium are almost one in the same. You can pick up a performance for around $42-43k. In thisvideo I give a full in depth tour of the 2011 Cadillac SRX Performance Collection. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this crossover while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. 2012 Cadillac SRX
The Cadillac SRX enters 2012 with a greater combination of performance, technology and capability, building on the momentum of record-setting sales and more conquests from import owners in the mid-luxury crossover segment. Retail sales were up 17.7% in the first half of 2011 -- a notable feat considering 2010 sales were up more than 150% for the year. A new, more powerful 3.6L V-6 headlines the changes for 2012 and becomes the sole engine offered in the SRX. It is rated at 308 horsepower (230 kW) with efficiency-enhancing features including direct injection and continuously variable valve timing. It also delivers 265 lb.-ft. of torque (359 Nm), with peak torque achieved at a low 2400 rpm and continuing through 5300 rpm, giving the SRX a greater feeling of acceleration from a standstill, at low speeds and when passing. The 3.6L is also E85 ethanol-capable. The 3.6L is matched with the Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic transmission, which features a driver-selectable Eco feature that alters the shift points for up to 1-mpg improved fuel economy in normal driving conditions. Other enhancements to the 2012 SRX include standard Bluetooth phone connectivity on the Base model, a heated steering wheel on the Luxury, Performance and Premium Collections and door lock switches on the driver and passenger door panels. Yamaha SRX 600 sound idle and revving at 7000 rpm
Walk around my idling Yamaha SRX-6, revving it shortly to 7000 rpm ( warm engine). Exhaust is standard but inside of the muffler was partially removed (last expansion camber). The sound is much nicer in real when revving (not like a chain saw ;-). When idling it sounds like a Chinook heli. The bike has georgeous exhaust notes (Thumper sound) when accelerating in 2 or 3 gear or during enigine braking when driving in town or on secundairy roads. And when driving in a tunnel, it almost sounds like a ..... NASCAR :o)) .
