Section 8 Gameplay (PC HD) Section 8 is a first-person shooter developed by TimeGate Studios and published by SouthPeak Interactive. It utilizes the Unreal Engine 3 and was released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360.[3] It was released on September 1 on the Xbox 360, and September 4 on the PC in North America and it will be released on September 11 in the UK, and Asia Pacific, and September 18 in the rest of Europe.[4] Section 8 is a first-person shooter set in a futuristic universe. The players wear armor that covers their entire bodies and features shielding technology which is able to absorb damage.[5] Players will be able to "burn-in" by dropping onto the battlefield from orbital dropships hovering at 15000 feet from the surface, thus eliminating fixed spawn points.[6] Burning-in also creates the opportunity for the player to choose where they drop on the map, making the game unpredictable.[5] This process is an interactive experience as players can be shot down upon entry by players and anti-aircraft turrets alike, though these situations can be avoided or mitigated by using the "air-brake" feature which allows the player to make mid-air adjustments.[7] Section 8 will include a single-player campaign mode that allows the player to proceed as a character named Alex Corde of the 8th Armored Infantry. You play as a special brand of marine several hundred years in the future. These super soldiers are the first ones in and the last ones out of any situation (like modern marines), but the squad is known as "Section 8″ due to their disregard for their own well-being. this is my playthrough of the ps3 game called Section 8 that can be downloaded from the playstation store. The game is also available for pc and Xbox 360. This playthrough is provided with commentaries by Gamerbomb, and it is rendered in 720p HD. It is recorded in 720p with the Hauppauge HD PVR. The guide is brought to you by www.gameanyone.com The name "Section 8" is derived from an old United States military discharge regulation for reason of being mentally unfit for service, and also refers to the 8th Armored Infantry in the game because of their participation in near-suicidal missions. Section 8 takes place in the future after the human race has discovered interstellar travel and has colonized across the galaxy. At the time of the game, a group called the Arm of Orion, has begun to 'disconnect' the outermost frontier planets from the main governing body, taking them over while keeping their presence hidden from the government. As space travel is slow, it often takes weeks to communicate with or travel to a frontier world, affording the Arm with enough time to seize worlds and build their base of power, ultimately preparing an ambush for the government forces that will eventually respond. The government then discovers the Arm of Orion, and sends in the 8th Armored Infantry, including Alex Corde (the player), on a mission to investigate, and presumably fight, the Arm invasion. Ok, so the game has been out for a week already, but hey, I'm a busy guy. Here are my thoughts regarding the PC version of Section 8, from TimeGate Studios and Southpeak Games. By the way, if Microsoft ever decides to stop screwing around and fix the issues with GFWL, I'll probably rate this game a bit higher. As things stand now, the service has it's good days and bad days. You can play almost an entire day without problems, or you can find yourself getting disconnected from three games in a row. You pays your monies, you takes your chances.
