Crank Sensor Operation

IMPORTANT: The crank sensor input signal is the most important signal in a modern vehicle. Without it the engine will not start. The crank sensor measures crankshaft position and rate of change. The ECM then synchronizes this signal to the CAM sensor and determines injection pulse, timing, fuel delivery, idle speed and everything else needed to run the engine. Learn how this component works and how to test it. (note: We allow all schools and training institutions to use our software free of charge, so long as it is not sold to others. O2 Sensor Basics

This will be the beginning of a series that I'm going to do on computer controlled systems. I've had quite a bit of response to the check engine light video and I think this is the next logical step. I've covered the basic operation of an O2 or oxygen sensor as the basis for closed loop operation. This will probably not be the last time I cover information on O2 sensors, there is soo much more to these than meets the eye. Knock Sensor Operation

Explains the Knock Sensor Operation and Testing. The Knock sensor is a actual microphone screwed into the engine block. It is tuned to listen to the exact frequency of an engine knock, which is a high frequency ping. A failing knock sensor will cause all sorts of problems to engine operation, such as skewed timing controls, loss of performance and power and ever the system going to linp-in mode. Learn how it works and how to test this incredible component. (note: We allow all schools and training institutions to use our software free of charge, so long as it is not sold to others. Sensor Fusion on Android Devices: A Revolution in Motion Processing

Google Tech Talk August 2, 2010 ABSTRACT Presented by David Sachs. Gyroscopes, accelerometers, and compasses are increasingly prevalent in mainstream consumer electronics. Applications of these sensors include user interface, augmented reality, gaming, image stabilization, and navigation. This talk will demonstrate how all three sensor types work separately and in conjunction on a modified Android handset running a modified sensor API, then explain how algorithms are used to enable a multitude of applications. Application developers who wish to make sense of rotational motion must master Euler angles, rotation matrices, and quaternions. Under the hood, sensor fusion algorithms must be used in order to create responsive, accurate, and low noise descriptions of motion. Reducing sensing errors involves compensating for temperature changes, magnetic disturbances, and sharp accelerations. Some of these algorithms must run at a very high rate and with very precise timing, which makes them difficult to implement within low-power real-time operating systems. Within Android specifically, this involves modifying the sensor manager, introducing new APIs, and partitioning motion processing tasks. David Sachs began developing motion processing systems as a graduate student at the MIT Media Lab. His research there led him to InvenSense, where he continues this work with MEMS inertial sensors used in products such as the Nintendo Wii Motion Plus. David's designs incorporate gyroscopes ...

Minecraft - Compact Water Sensor

Please note: I did not come up with this invention. I saw it in a video by "ribbitz". All credit for the idea belongs to him. You can view his original video here: www.youtube.com The reason I've posted this video is show people my compact version of it, how to build it from scratch, how you can wire it, and just how easy it is to build one. I love his idea and want to help people take advantage of it. What his device does is detect water and sends an inverted redstone signal indicating if there is water. I demonstrate how to use the device to implement a secret locking mechanism for your doors. There are many other applications you could use this for.

Minecraft - Tutorial: Light Sensor

This tutorial demonstrates and teaches you how to build a Light Sensor. This can be used to detect day and night cycles as a redstone signal. The Light Sensor is built from 3 main components. A piston is used to control killing grass during the night, and growing grass during the day. A redstone BUD Switch is used to detect grass growing and dying. A T-FlipFlop memory unit keeps track of the day and night cycle. If it rains during the day, the Light Sensor will still detect it as being day, despite the darker conditions. How to clean your sensor (and what not to do)

We got sent a question for #askDRTV, asking whether one should use one's breath to fog up the sensor to clean the dust off. Here's Kai and Lok's advice on how to clean your sensor with a wet and dry method. Warning: cleaning your sensor could render your camera useless if you are not careful or if you don't know what you are doing. 1. Pressurised Air is not safe for your camera! Not only that some of them spray mist, they could also blow off your sensor. 2. Some liquid solutions leave streaks that are hard to get rid off. 3. Swiping of the sensor could cause damage if you have hard dust particles on it. 4. The hair of the brush could be caught by the edge of the sensor or contaminated by the frame of the sensor or the mirror mechanism. Disclaimer: DigitalRev TV cannot be held responsible for any damage to your camera equipment as a result of watching this video. Leave sensor cleaning to professional, and do NOT attempt to clean your camera sensor yourself.

MORGELLONS HORROR SHOW 10: SENSING TECHNOLOGY IN MORGELLONS

The sensing technology can be injected into a human via arthropod which transmits bacteria which produces organic/inorganic engineered bacterial cellulose spore fibers which serve as fluorescent sensors carrying various formulas for infecting you. Techically this video should be called simply Sensing Technology in Morgellons. The materials in Morgellons are functional sensing materials, designed for a specific purpose at a particular site in the body. Its a little confusing but I'll remake this later. The Morgellons specimen used in this video are simply background, NOT particularly illustrations of the text. Sensing is chemical detective work. Functionalized materials are chemically engineered to find the place in your body where they are specifically designed to do their job. Morgellons materials are functionalized for certain purposes. This identifies them as sensing materials. This video shows various kinds of sensing systems to give you an idea of how biological systems can be manipulated via sensing materials, inside the body. Your body has its own sensing systems. Your immune system is always standing by, ready to go into action in the prescence of pathogens. If someone designs material to change your immune system, they create a system which senses which cells to attack and how to attack them to achieve a particular disease path. The designers of Morgellons have knowledge of your body's sensing systems and use them to their advantage when introducing new materials ...

Digital SLR sensors's Explained

www.FroKnowsPhoto.com There are a few different sensor sizes out there today. You have Full Frame and Cropped Sensors and now Four Thirds which I did not speak about in this video. On the Nikon end you have FX and DX. FX is a full frame sensor based on a 35mm size and DX is a cropped sensor based on a 24mm or APS size. There are advantages and perceived disadvantages to both. With Full Frame you get much better Hi-ISO capability but it is much more expensive. DX is a small sensor but makes your longer lenses act like they have more power. You multiply any lens you put on the camera by 1.5X to determine its 35mm equivalent. The downside is you need to purchase special ultra wide lenses to capture really wide angle images on DX. Another disadvantage to DX is you will not want to use those lenses on a Full Frame camera. So it becomes a dilemma on weather not to purchase a lot of DX lenses or not. On the Canon side you have three sensor sizes. Full Frame, 1.3x magnification in their sports cameras and APS-C which is 1.6x magnification. On the canon side. Any lens that you place on the APS-C sensor you will multiply by 1.6x to get the 35mm equivalent. As in the Nikon the larger the sensor the better the Hi-ISO capability the camera will be. Unlike Nikon Canon utilizes a 1.3x cropped sensor int heir high end sports camera. Sports photographers like having their longer glass have more reach. The cameras that have Full Frame sensors will be more expensive because they are more ...
