It also calculates to negative values. This ALU (arithmetic logic unit) is bigger than the area that get's loaded into the RAM. ok this is an easy project which demonstrates a clock/thermometer, using of microcontroller PIC16F876A, realtimeclock DS1307 and temperature Sensor DS1820. DS1307 uses I2C protocol, and DS1820 uses 1-wire protocol. with cr2032 battery, it stores time. and with 2 buttons, the time can be set. the 7 segment displays are multiplexing, uses same data bus. i didnt use shift register or latch.

This is a seven segment display with a decoder attached, squeezed into a 7x10 space. They can be arranged horizontally for multi-digit displays, without any signal interference between the digits. I finished up a new version of my MC15400b CPU design and was working on some kind of built in counter/row selector for a rom. To test it out, I used my 7-segment display, put the number pastern's on the rows and a simple clock to count it down. When the reset is on, it has a clear display and the reset keeps all the RS-latch's reset. This way if you can have rows of these selectors without the hassle of tri-stating the bus. This design also gives you no noise between the transition from one row to the other. The downside however, is that it gets slower the longer it is. Takes about 15 ticks to turn on the row from the last row. (Only 9 to get there, but 6 to set). This is by far quicker than any other rom design I have so this is still a keeper. Anyway, here is the schematic. Have fun:) pbruner.com PS - I removed the redundant pulse line and integrated it into the AND gate. Shaves off about two ticks. Its not in the video but the schematic is updated for it.
