Shockwave's Burden ( A day in the life of Shockwave ) 8 minute Transformers Mini- Episode (Mash-up) Voices performed by: Dan Didsbury, Charmagne Jacobs, and DR. SMOOV Edited by DR. SMOOV Appointed by Megatron, Shockwave is the Guardian of Cybertron. One of his most important jobs is to guard the Decepticon Spacebridge. Shockwave displays several inadequacies: he moves slow, has horrible aim, overconfidence, bored with his existence, and harbors undying loyalty towards Megatron, causing him enormous stress and pressure to perform. Regardless of his track record of incompitence, Megatron seems to give him preferential treatment. Could it be that Shockwave may actually be Megatron's "friend?" Or does Megs keep him up there to keep him out of the way? Leading a boring existence on permanent "guard duty," with nobody to talk to except for Decepticon worker droids, Shockwave occasionally gets "slammed" by intruders and has to step up his game. Seems like everything always happens at once for poor Shockwave; always catching him off guard. Plus...he really can't shoot for shit.

This is taken from the "Shockwave over Texas" bootleg, which is one of two SB recordings that exist from the 1970-1978 era of Sabbath (California Jam is the other). Unforunately, it's only a partial recording, and a flawed one at that. This song sounds great though, and is one of the highpoints on the boot. Enjoy!

Shockwaves Visible as ATLAS V Rocket Carrying SDO Breaks Sound Barrier
Very rare view of shockwave created by the Atlas V rocket as it broke the sound barrier and passed through a cloud layer. You can see a shadow emerge as the rocket approaches the bottom of the cloud layer and then ripples are visable as the rocket passes through the cloud layer. NASA had over 15 cameras recording the launch but only this angle showed the shockwave.

Director Michael Bay has recently admitted that the last installment of the transformers Franchise, May have deserved some of the negative feedback it Received. But rather then dwell on it, he's ready to move on, and with the 3rd Transformers film already in production, move on, he already has! Bay revealed in an interview with USA Today that the new film will definitely have two things that should make fans pretty happy. First and least surprising, the film is being shot in 3d, despite the fact that bay had hinted in the past that it probably wouldn't be. And second, the director confirmed that fan-favorite "Shockwave" will be a featured villain! An admirable and powerful leader in waiting who has the ability to transform into a lasergun, Shockwave was previously left in charge of the home planet Cybertron as the autobots did battle against the decpeticons on earth. An awesome edition, and one we hope will see more screen time then Soundwave did in Revenge of the Fallen! The yet-to-be-titled third "Transformers" movie is due in theaters July 1, 2011. Transformers G1 Shockwave
Shockwave is the Decepticon guardian of Cybertron. Megatron granted Shockwave the duty of taking care of their home planet before the Decepticons began to chase the Autobot ship which ultimately led to The Great War on Earth. Shockwave doesn't transform into any Earth equipment. He transforms into a giant laser gun because he never came to Earth and therefore wasn't converted by Teletran-1. Shockwave owns the key to Vector Sigma, which is able to give Transformers life, personalities and self-awareness. Shockwave's headquarters is the elevator end point of the Decepticon Space Bridge. When the Autobots (ab)use the Decepticon Space Bridge, they have no option but to end up at poor Shockwave's room and fight him off before leaving. An interesting detail here is that the Autobots always lend the Space Bridge even though they can go to Cybertron using Skyfire, Omega Supreme or Sky Lynx (cheapskates?). Shockwave isn't scared of going into battle, but he's a real lap dog when it comes to loyalty to Megatron. The other Decepticons despise him for that. Shockwave is known to be the most powerful Decepticon of season 1 but he doesn't know how to use it to become the leader. He lacks Starscream's mentality. In the comics and catalog mini-comics, Shockwave was extremely powerful. An interesting thing about Shockwave is that he doesn't seem to have colleagues on Cybertron. He's all by himself. The Shockwave figure is one of the rarest and most certainly most expensive out there, with <b>...</b>
