Sir Paul McCartney - Maybe I'm Amazed [Remastered] [HD]

Remastered from the original McCartney master. "Maybe I'm Amazed" is a song written by Paul McCartney that was first released on his McCartney album on 17 April 1970. The studio version from the album has never been released as a single. McCartney dedicated the song to his wife, Linda, who had helped him get through the break-up of The Beatles. Later, McCartney's band Wings released a single of a live performance of the song from the band's 1976 tour of America, which became a top-ten hit in the United States. McCartney wrote the song in 1969, just before The Beatles' breakup. He credited his wife Linda with helping him get through the difficult time. Although most of his debut solo album was recorded at his farm in Scotland, McCartney recorded Maybe I'm Amazed entirely in EMI's Number Two studio in London, where he was mixing the rest of the tracks. He played all the instruments: guitars, piano and drums. While Paul declined to release the song as a single in 1970, it nonetheless received a great deal of radio airplay worldwide, making it one of his most recognizable solo successes.[citation needed] A promotional film was made, comprising still photographs of McCartney, his wife Linda and stepdaughter Heather. The original studio version of the song ended with a fade instead of a full ending, but McCartney later composed an ending that can be heard on the live versions of the song. A live recording from the 1976 album Wings over America was released as a single by ...

Sir Paul McCartney Marries Nancy Shevell

LONDON (AP) - Former Beatle Paul McCartney and American heiress Nancy Shevell were married on Sunday, October 9, 2011, emerging joyously from a 45-minute civil marriage ceremony to be showered with confetti from fans. The pop icon raised his bride's arm in triumph as they blew kisses to the hundreds of fans and paparazzi waiting on the steps of the Old Marylebone Town Hall for the big event.. Shevell, with a white flower in her long dark hair, wore an elegant, understated above-the-knee gown designed by McCartney's daughter, Stella. He wore a blue suit, a pale blue tie, and a gigantic grin.. The former moptop wore his tinted hair longish for the occasion, bringing back memories of the days when girls swooned as he sang "All My Loving" and other boy-meets-girl hits.. The loving couple, beaming and relaxed, drove off in a burgundy Lexus for a gala reception at their nearby home in the St. John's Wood neighborhood. Champagne and cake awaited, along with guests like Ringo Starr, in a casual black t-shirt under his fitted suit, and his wife, the actress Barbara Bach.. There was a bit of deja vu for McCartney - he married his first wife, Linda Eastman, at the same place in 1969, breaking the hearts of teenage girls throughout much of the world.. Details of the ceremony have not been released. Press reports suggest McCartney's younger brother Mike served as best man and his young daughter Beatrice as flower girl.. Sir Paul McCartney Rocks the White House

The President hails Paul McCartney's contribution to popular music and song during a ceremony to present the singer with the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize. Paul McCartney sings Beatles song 'Michelle' to Mrs. Obama at White House Gershwin Prize concert Paul McCartney celebrated winning the Gershwin Prize Wednesday night by serenading the First Lady with "Michelle," complete with French lyrics. "I love you, I love you, I love you," he sang to Michelle Obama during the 90-minute White House concert. He later quipped that he might be the "first guy ever to be punched out by a president." But Obama appeared to be feeling the music as much as anyone, swaying along to the '60s Beatles hit while his wife mouthed the words. The love ballad first appeared on the Fab Four's Rubber Soul album in 1965 and later won a Grammy for Song of the Year. Wednesday night McCartney became the third and only non-American to win the Library of Congress' Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Previous recipients include Paul Simon (2007) and Wonder (2009). "After the last eight years, it's great to have a president who knows what a library is," McCartney joked. According to Obama, the 67-year-old Beatles alum "helped to lay the soundtrack for an entire generation." McCartney said he couldn't think of a more "special" concert than playing at the White House and offered to make it a regular gig. "Lunchtimes, we could come around," he told the president. "We're cheap." Performing McCartney's greatest ...

Sir Paul McCartney & Wings - Wonderful Christmas Time [Remastered] [HD]

Christmas carols are very important part of these wonderful days, and it gets even better with the boys from The Beatles ! Starting a christmas videos series. Remastered from the original master from 1979 (this has been done by me, it's not an official remaster). For entertainment purposes only. "Wonderful Christmastime" is a 1979 Christmas song by Paul McCartney. It enjoys significant Christmas time popularity around the world. The notable synthesizer riff was played on a Sequential Circuits Prophet-5. The song was later added as a bonus track on the CD reissue of Wings' Back to the Egg. Although the song did not chart on the US Billboard Hot 100, it reached #6 in the UK Singles Chart. The video was filmed at the Fountain Inn in Ashurst, West Sussex. McCartney recorded the song entirely on his own during the sessions for his solo project McCartney II. Although the members of Wings are not on the recording, they do appear in the video. Fellow ex-Beatles John Lennon and George Harrison had already released festive singles, and Ringo Starr made a Christmas album in 1999. Of all of the former Beatle seasonal offerings, Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War is Over)" and McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime" have become two of a large number of popular Christmas songs played year after year. "Wonderful Christmastime" can be heard in the 1998 animated film Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie during Santa's takeoff on Christmas Day. Wings performed the song during their 1979 tour of ...

Paul McCartney Something Live at Anfield, Liverpool 1st June 2008

Something" is a single released by The Beatles in 1969, and featured on the album Abbey Road. It was the first song written by George Harrison to appear on the A-side of a Beatles single. It was one of the first Beatles singles to contain tracks already available on a long playing (LP) album, with both "Something" and "Come Together" having appeared on Abbey Road. "Something" was the only Harrison composition to top the American charts while he was a Beatle. John Lennon and Paul McCartney—the two principal songwriting members of the band—both praised "Something" as among the best songs Harrison had written. As well as critical acclaim, the single achieved commercial success, topping the Billboard charts in the United States, and entering the top 10 in the United Kingdom. The song's success continued after the breakup of The Beatles, when it was covered by over 150 artists including Elvis Presley, Shirley Bassey, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, James Brown, Julio Iglesias, Smokey Robinson, Joe Cocker becoming the second-most covered Beatles song after "Yesterday".[1] Lyrics : Something in the way she moves, Attracts me like no other lover. Something in the way she woos me. I don't want to leave her now, You know I believe in how. Somewhere in her smile she knows, That I don't need no other lover. Something in her style that shows me. I don't want to leave her now, You know I believe in how. You're asking me will my love grow, I don't know, I don't know. Stick around, and it ...
Paul McCartney - No More Lonely Nights

Join TheFabFour14's facebook page www.facebook.com for updates, new videos and more! :) "No More Lonely Nights" is a song written by Paul McCartney, which was first released in September 1984. It can be heard on the soundtrack, Give My Regards to Broad Street. The single reached #6 in the US[1] and #2 in the UK. Stephen Thomas Erlewine of allmusic said the song was "an absolutely lovely mid-tempo tune graced by a terrific David Gilmour guitar solo."[2] In a radio interview prior to 1990's Knebworth concerts, Gilmour told Jim Ladd that "No More Lonely Nights" was the last thing McCartney recorded for the film, and that he told McCartney to give his session fee to a charity of his choice. Two versions of the single on both 7" & 12" as well as a 12" picture disc were issued in both the UK and US The first 7" version featured "No More Lonely Nights" backed with the playout version. The second featured the Arthur Baker Dance Mix as the B-side. Both versions of this single exist with a rarer early pressing with the title misspelled as "No More Lonley Nights."
