The film opens with the introductory scenes of Kundavi, a small town girl, daughter of a village chieftain in Ambasamudram.Little Kundavi grows up to be a naughty college girl (Jyothika), who thinks that only love marriages can be successful. But her parent's get her married off to Gautham (Surya), an engineer from the city. Cut to 6 years later - Gautham and Kundavi, along with their 5-year-old daughter Aishu live in Mumbai, where they work. They are a picture perfect family and their life is filled with happiness....till, one day, Kundavi comes across Gautham's old diary, by chance when he is on a business trip to New York. The diary reveals Gautham's past- He is a dude in an Engineering college in Coimbatore where he meets Aishwarya (Bhoomika), the demure and soft-spoken daughter of a local MP & businessman. It is love at first sight for Gautham and after a while Aishu also reciprocates(!). They decide to get married at the registrar's office but after Gautham ties the thali, Aishu's dad and his men beat him up and take his daughter away!

In continuing to object to last years unanimous decision by the Committee to inscribe the Preah Vihear Temple as a World Heritage Site, the Thai officials blamed the inscription for having caused fighting at and around the Temple in the past year. In fact, it was the unilateral military actions of the Thai government that caused the fighting. In the interest of the preservation and development of the Temple, Cambodia requested that it be inscribed at the 2007 session of the World Heritage Committee at Christchurch. Thai objections to its listing were addressed by Cambodia the following year. As Thailand previously had agreed to support the inscription at the 2008 meeting in Quebec City, Cambodia again had the inscription put on the agenda. Unfortunately, by the time of the 2008 session, political turmoil in Bangkok forced the Thai government to withdraw its support and argue for postponement. On 31st Jan, His Excellency Mr. Sok An, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of the Council of Ministersof Ministers, granted an interview with NIKEKEY Japanese Newspapers on the importance of Temple of Preah Vihear as on the World Heritage list. HE SOK An highlighted that Royal Government of Cambodia has a solid goal of conservation, sustainable development of the temple and also her site. The Temple of Preah Vihear, a unique architectural complex of a series of sanctuaries linked by a system of pavements and staircases on an 800 metre long axis, is an outstanding masterpiece of Khmer architecture, in terms of plan, decoration and relationship to the spectacular landscape environment. Criterion (i): Preah Vihear is an outstanding masterpiece of Khmer architecture. It is very pure both in plan and in the detail of its decoration. Authenticity, in terms of the way the buildings and their materials express well the values of the property, has been established. The attributes of the property comprise the temple complex; the integrity of the property has to a degree been compromised by the absence of part of the promontory from the perimeter of the property. The protective measures for the Temple, in terms of legal protection are adequate; the progress made in defining the parameters of the Management Plan needs to be consolidated into an approved, full Management Plan.
