JEWELS TRIO Dorantes comes from one of Andalusia's leading musical families: his grand father, mother and uncle are all legends in flamenco history. The classically trained pianist is in the vanguard of those trying to adapt the music's guitar-based forms to the keyboard. Replicating the rhythmic strumming and rapid runs of flamenco guitar, Dorantes raced around the key board with an unrelenting intensity! mprovisation is paramount for Renaud Garcia-Fons as it provides him with the spiritual dimension that motivates his passion for this art. His musical inspiration springs from several sources. On the one hand he feels close to the flamenco tradition, which he studied and adapted to the bass, but he also delves passionately into Mediterranean and oriental music.For over 20 years, Theodosii has toured all over Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, Canada and United States. In 1994, he performed with Sofia Women's Radio Choir which was awarded with a Grammy award for "Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares". In April of 1995, "Newsweek" magazine recognized Theodosii Spassov as one of the most talented Eastern-European musicians in its "best of the East" article, noting that "Spassov... is not merely surviving the post-communist cultural wasteland. He has actually invented a new musical genre."

What a sight!!. We all came out dancing and trying to remember in our minds the stomping with good melodies sung by the excellent pianist Andalusian and new star of flamenco music Dorantes! Flamenco is very rich and denotes regret that Dorantes and his group were able to pass through the piano, with the voice of Gabriel de la Tomasa, accurate and final steps of the dancers and a percussionist forget Tete Peña and Paco electric guitar Peña. But who is Dorantes?, David Peña Dorantes was born in Andalusia and comes from a dynasty of musicians well known as The Perrata, his grandmother, his great-uncle Perrate de Utrera, his uncle's Lebrijano his father Pedro Peña, guitarist and great flamenco music expert. Dorantes is an instrumentalist and composer, he performed his piano studies at the Conservatory of Music and has enabled him to contribute to the evolution of flamenco music. He has created a real revolution to flamenco music, dethroning the guitar and piano as a means of putting the king of flamenco. With its sense of improvisation, and brilliant orchestration, he manages to reinvent the genre by incorporating the sensibilities of jazz music. The audience was captivated by this music and colorful flamenco history fully understood by musicians and dancers. The genius from Lebrija, David Peña Dorantes, was commissioned two years ago to create music for Etnosur 2009. The result was something very normal, considering his background, which is nothing less than perfect and wonderfull. With a show in which his brother Pedro María Peña had a lot to do, that explosion of music and emotion called Convivencias has been held over a few days.
