Making their debut appearance on Cadenza, Cesar Merveille & Pablo Cahn-Speyer touch down like a cyclone, with two percussion-heavy cuts that pay homage to the glories of vintage mambo. Cesar has quickly made a name for himself with releases on Circus Company, Serialism, Safari Electronique and others, with his "Chocopop Jazz"—released under the name Cesar Maravillas—making a huge splash in 2008. This is Pablo's first release, but the London-based pair is already well known for residencies at T-Bar, where their colorful, upbeat sets provide a soundtrack perfectly calibrated for the feel-good hedonism of some of London's most celebrated parties. "Tribute," already known to clubbers as a highlight of Luciano's recent sets, is a killer fusion of old and new, splicing vintage samples from golden-age salsa into a stomping groove that's as chunky as a pair of high-heeled wedges. It all starts out as a stripped-down, highstepping drum track, punctuated by sexy, primal whoops. But that ain't the half of it. In come spooky flutes, fluttering sax and the rush of crowd noise, with an irresistibly funky jazz break building tension. Before long, the bandleader's calling out the dance, chanting and singing. Horns are blaring, piano pumping, congas rolling. It's a veritable hurricane of African, Caribbean and European musical traditions, and anything that isn't tied down will soon be soaring above the dancefloor.

We fly on a wonderful day from Speyer to Konstanz in Germany. Once arrived, we rent bicycles at the airport and ride to the lake front for lunch. Afterwards we visit the historic center of Konstanz before we fly back to Speyer. The video shows the flying part of the day trip. The plane is a Cessna 172, the cameras GoPros and a Sony DSC-HX9V. Mitglieder aus aller Welt kamen in die Pfalz, um Deutschland zu bereisen und gemeinsam zu feiern. Immerhin ist Virtual Tourist vor 9 Jahren von zwei Studenten in Karlsruhe aus der Taufe gehoben worden. hin & weg hat sich in Karlsruhe mit dem Virtual Tourist Mitglied Heather Belen aus New York verabredet und sie bei ihrem Ausflug nach Speyer begleitet. Obwohl sie selbst schon viel gereist ist und manches gesehen hat, ist der Besuch von Speyer, eine der ältesten Städte Deutschlands, für sie ein besonderes Erlebnis gewesen. Speyer Vom Zug erfasst Kurz nach Mitternacht ging am Mittwoch 29.12.10 bei der Polizei eine Mitteilung ein, wonach in der Mühlturmstraße bei geschlossener Schranke ein Pkw auf den Gleisen stehen würde. Trotz der sofortigen Verständigung des Fahrdienstleiters der Bundesbahn konnte ein Zusammenstoß zwischen einem Nahverkehrszug und dem Pkw nicht mehr verhindert werden. Der 61-jährge Fahrer, der mit 1,94 Promille unter Alkoholeinfluss stand, konnte noch rechtzeitig den Wagen verlassen und sich in Sicherheit bringen. ( Der Unfall wird von der Bundespolizei bearbeitet ).
