
Preliminary program of the CPGB-ML's meeting to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the October Revolution, held on November 7th 2011, in Saklatvala Hall, Southall, West London. 1: Cde JV Stalin speaks in Moscow, Nov 7th 1941 (listened to with rapt attention buy the meeting on this, the 70th Anniversary of his speech) During WW2, at the Soviet Union's gravest hour, with the invading German imperialist Nazi Fascist hordes quite literally at the gates of the city, Stalin stands on the wall of the Kremlin, reviews the military parade of the Red Army and speaks to people of the Soviet Union. He recalls the war of intervention (1918-21), when the Soviet people were weaker, had no red army, navy or air force, had just come out of the bloody dislocation of WW1 and faced the combined might of the Russian reactionaries and 15 foreign imperialist armies -- yet under the guidance of Lenin's Bolshevik party had emerged victorious. His strength and courage inspired the Bolsheviks of the CPSU(B), the troops who marched from the parade directly to the front to fight and in so many cases lay down their lives to defeat fascism, to defend the gains that the Soviet people and all progressive humanity had made since the Bright dawn of October 1917, and the entire Soviet people, to defeat Hitlerite Fascism.
