Geese on I-90

A view from the traffic management center! Each day, our traffic engineers monitor traffic through the 440 cameras perched high above Puget Sound roadways. They look for collisions, disabled vehicles, dangerous litter (like bumpers or hubcaps) that could cause collisions or other problems. They also watch traffic flow to determine when to activate systems like Smarter Highways on I-90: www.wsdot.wa.gov Well, it was during a routine traffic check on I-90 when they found Mother Goose and her five goslings booking down the shoulder of I-90. Washington State Patrol spotted them too and herded (herded? guided?) them off at the next exit. Not only do we want them to make it through spring, but we also want to make sure they don't wander in front of your car. Can you imagine how bad you'd feel if you hit one? Enjoy!

The leaked cables are revealing, but unsurprising, as they fit familiar patterns. First, they cement Boeing's reputation as deeply dependent on the US government for its profits. Second, they echo President Obama's rhetoric portraying global trade as a country-versus-country competition in which all Americans have a direct stake in US exporters, and our government has a direct role in boosting American business. For more news visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Add us on Facebook ☛ facebook.com The US State Department is not buying Syria's pledge of reform, saying "actions, not words" are needed. Syria's president has promised legal reforms, but the US State Department points out he has often gone back on his promise. The United States says it wants to see "action, not words" from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who pledged political reforms within months. In a speech at Damascus University, Assad said a national dialogue would start soon to review new legislation including laws on parliamentary elections, the media, and political parties and look at possible changes to the constitution. The new laws pertain to parliamentary elections, the media and political parties. But US State Department Spokeswoman Victoria Nuland is unconvinced by Assad's overtures. [Victoria Nuland, US State Department Spokeswoman]: "Bashar al-Assad has been making promises to his people for years, for weeks. What's important now is action, not words." She also dismissed Assad's allegations that foreign sabotage is behind the unrest. [Victoria Nuland, US State Department Spokeswoman]: "With regard to Bashar al Assad's allegation that what's going on in his country is the result of foreign instigators, we're just not buying it."

Joel Skousen: The Tea Party Deception

Joel Skousen, editor of World Affairs Brief, was the chairman of the Conservative National Committee in the 1980's. In this exclusive video interview for Prison Planet.tv members, Skousen talks about the hidden power structure that controls politicians of both parties from behind the scenes, the nature of the manipulated press, the reality behind the tea party, and the ongoing conspiracy to create a one world dictatorship. Skousen explains that there is "systematic evil" in the world which uses certain techniques to proliferate, including the dialectic of crisis creation in order to induce good people into accepting or doing things that they wouldn't ordinarily do by way of deception, which is why evil uses crisis creation to change the world. Skousen discusses how his famous uncle, Cleon Skousen, discovered how the fall of China to Chairman Mao was aided by the US State Department by withdrawing support for Chiang Kai-shek, which led to a realization that there were globalists within the US government who had no allegiance to America, particularly Alger Hiss, the writer of the UN Charter, who had joined the Communist Party to facilitate Communist infiltration into the State Department - using communism to facilitate the goals of globalism. www.prisonplanet.tv www.infowars.com

But since the Second World War, I'll quote the State Department, the Middle East oil producing regions have been regarded, I'll quote the words, "a stupendous source of strategic power." George Kennan, State Department, head of the planning section said control, not access, control over the Middle East oil gives us "veto power" over what our rivals might do, other industrial powers. You control the spigot, have your hand on the spigot, you have a lot of world control. It's not even access to oil. The first, roughly, 30 years after the Second World War, the US was - North America was the major oil producer. It wasn't using Middle East oil, never the less we had to keep an iron hand of control on Middle East oil and if the US were to go to solar energy, they'd still want to control Middle East oil because that's a lever of world control. Everyone understands it but we're not allowed to think about it. I am an investigative reporter for The Nation magazine and the author of the book Blackwater: The Rise of the World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army. I have spent the better part of the past several years researching the phenomenon of privatized warfare and the increasing involvement of the private sector in the support and waging of US wars. During the course of my investigations, I have interviewed scores of sources, filed many Freedom of Information Act requests, obtained government contracts and private company documents of firms operating in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere. When asked, I have attempted to share the results of my investigations, including documents obtained through FOIA and other processes, with members of Congress and other journalists. I would like to thank this committee for the opportunity to be here today and for taking on this very serious issue. Over the past six days, we have all been following very closely the developments out of Baghdad in the aftermath of the fatal shooting of as many as 20 Iraqis by operatives working for the private military company Blackwater USA. The Iraqi government is alleging that among the dead are a small child and her parents and the prime minister has labeled Blackwater's conduct as "criminal" and spoke of "the killing of our citizens in cold blood." Noam Chomsky: WikiLeaks Cables Reveal 'Profound Hatred for Democracy' by US Govt Officials 1 of 3

In a national broadcast exclusive interview, Democracy Now! speaks with world-renowned political dissident and linguist Noam Chomsky about the release of more than 250000 secret US State Department cables by the whistleblower website, WikiLeaks. Watch Part 2: www.youtube.com In 1971, Chomsky helped government whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg release the Pentagon Papers, a top-secret internal US account of the Vietnam War. Commenting on the revelations that several Arab leaders are urging the United States to attack Iran, Chomsky says, "latest polls show] Arab opinion holds that the major threat in the region is Israel, that's 80 percent; the second threat is the United States, that's 77 percent. Iran is listed as a threat by 10 percent," Chomsky says. "This may not be reported in the newspapers, but it's certainly familiar to the Israeli and US governments and the ambassadors. Mubarak is a son of bytch, but he is our son of bytch

FREE PALESTINE on FacebooK: www.facebook.com From "Where is Osama Bin laden " a simple video explaining the American policy in the Middle east The Mubarak trust fund, now in extra-large?| | Josh Rogin from Foreign Policy published an important report this week on what we've dubbed the Mubarak trust fund. The US Congress already approved a $50 million endowment for the Egyptian government, essentially a pot of money the Mubarak regime can use however it wants. But Mubarak wants more, according to Rogin -- eighty times more. [The State Department] was preparing to enter into negotiations with Egypt over Cairo's proposal for a new $4 billion aid endowment... the State Department is still evaluating the proposal, but advocates of the endowment approach say that by setting American economic aid to Egypt for the next 10 years, the United States could build cooperation with the Egyptian government, show long-term US commitment to helping the Egyptian people, and help Egypt develop key sectors of its civic infrastructure. Rogin posted a copy of the full Egyptian proposal (pdf), which calls for a fund "not related to conditionalities." Mubarak, in the hospital, on the phone The Obama administration, to its credit, does not seem interested in handing Mubarak a $4 billion blank check. The State Department's offered $1 billion in a counter-proposal, and the money would come with a degree of US oversight and "performance indicators" to gauge whether the money is actually helping the ...

Michael Springmann, a former head US consular official in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, who complained about a CIA visa factory in Saudi Arabia and was fired as a result. 911review.org www.infowars.com J. Michael Springmann, formerly chief of the visa section at the US Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, has testified that he rejected hundreds of suspicious visa applications by Saudi Aabian men similar to those named as the 9/11 HijackersPatsies when we was head of the consular section of the US embassy in Jeddah, but CIA officers repeatedly overruled him and ordered the visas to be issued. Springmann protested to the State Department, the Office of Diplomatic Security, the FBI, the Justice Department and congressional committees, but was told to shut up. He later realized that this was a CIA operation, and wrote about it in the Spring 1997 issue of the journal Unclassified. After 9/11, Springmann observed that 15 of the 19 Hijackers Patsies got their visas from the very same CIA controlled consulate in Jeddah ( US News and World Report 12/12/01). "Only one of the 15 provided an actual address - and that was only because his first application was refused.
