The Christmas season would not be complete without a trip to Stockbridge, MA. What a magical place it is...the charm of Main St.'s quaint little shops...the spirit of the great Norman Rockwell all around...and there is the hope of catching a glimpse of near-by resident, James Taylor!
My trip to the Berkshire Botanical Garden in Stockbridge, Massachusetts on May 22, 2011. The price of admission for an adult was $12. That's pretty cheap if you are a photographer looking for some great scenery to photograph. Check out the photos in my video and let me know how you think they came out. If you look carefully, you might see a few bees and even an ant. I used a Nikon DX 3000 and switched on and off between an 18-55mm zoom lens with no lens hood, and a 55-200mm zoom lens with a lens hood. The weather was overcast which made for soft overall lighting. I would like to go back at a different time of year to capture other seasonal varieties. I captured all the flowers that were in bloom on May 22, 2011.

Taken on the grounds of Chester David French's Estate. He sculpted the Lincoln sculpture for the Lincoln memorial. His rustic estate houses workshops and art created by upcoming sculptors.
A brief look at Alice's Restaurant which was made popular by Arlo Guthrie's song of the same name. The name has changed, but it is literally around the back, just a half mile from the railroad tracks. Imagine that!
