Video courtesy: holytornado.com The ferocious power of one of the devastating tornadoes that struck the US state of Oklahoma on Tuesday was captured on camera by so-called "storm chasers", who followed the twister as it left a trail of devastation in its wake. The tornado is seen churning through the Chickasha area, 25 miles (40 kilometres) southwest of Oklahoma City. Officials said a 26-year-old woman died when the twister hit a mobile home park where residents had been asked to leave. A dozen people were injured and hundreds were displaced in the area, they added. That twister was just one of the many tornadoes that struck Oklahoma and also the states of Arkansas and Kansas on Tuesday, killing at least 15 people. Those powerful storms came two days after the nation's deadliest single tornado since 1950 killed at least 125 people on Sunday in Joplin in southwest Missouri.

COURTESY: tornadovideos.net Large tornadoes ripped through parts of Missouri and Illinois on Tuesday, tearing across farmland and knocking down trees. Film footage posted on TornadoVideos.net showed debris flying as a tornado touched down in a field in Bowling Green, Missouri. Similar footage was shot in Carlinville, Illinois. No injuries were reported from the storms. Strong thunderstorms also battered the region and another round of severe weather is predicted for later this week. Utility crews are scrambling to restore power to tens of thousands of customers in Illinois affected by severe storms that included reports of tornadoes.

At the end of May 21, 2011, the Titans had captured over 10 tornadoes on video from a pair of LP Cyclic Supercells. This could have easily been the best chase day of the 2011 Storm Season and few people were there to witness these supercells on a true Boom or Bust day. With Reed and Chris in Mississippi having the Dominator outfitted with scientific instrumentation, Joel headed out with his storm chasing dad Jimmy to document the moderate and high risk set-ups. On May 18 they observed several tornadoes in the Texas Panhandle, near Dumas and Stinnett. The next day was a high risk, and they caught a rain-wrapped wedge near Loyal, Oklahoma! After sustaining a near-direct hit from a half-mile wide F-4 tornado, the TornadoVideos.net team documented two more tornadoes occurring simultaneously near De Smet, SD. After driving underneath a developing tornado, a crazy South Dakota farmer freaks out as a second tornado churns on the horizon. This farmer is the most hillarious person you will ever hear on video. This was large hail I captured in and near Waxhaw, NC. The only reason I complain at the beginning was I was trying to get to the south before the core arrived but was unable to do so due to traffic. I also was worried about losing windows etc. as this storm had a history of baseball sized hail. Thankfully the heart of the core passed just to my south where that may have occurred. This was hastily edited together to show some of the action.

Large tornado in Kansas City, KS on May 4, 2003 filmed by storm chaser Ben Alonzo. The only historical video with live audio of the warning process recorded in real time while filming the tornado outbreak. Audio in the background is officials talking to each other coordinating tornado warnings and emergency response vehicles from dispatch centers. Audio can also be heard between emergency first responders and command centers. The beeping sound is from the EAS wire coming of the telecommunications transmitter for NWS NOAA Weather Radio in Kansas City. Other warning tones includes a mobile computer system that was being tested using Verizon mobile data terminal connectivity back to a text CAP code warning system being developed by Ben Alonzo for broadcasters.
