Peter Straker Late Night Taxi Dancer, bye bye baby goodbye

Peter Straker Late Night Taxi Dancer, bye bye baby goodbye SongText: We were cruising down the avenue doing twenty-five and then out of the blue. She said I don't want in a candy store I wanna spread my wings and fly I need some good old stormy weather We drove around till we found a place I didn't know what to make of the smile on her face But as soon as we stepped inside I was lost where to look, I just wanted to hide She was a late night taxi dancer All she wanted to do was dance and all the time I was sure it was romance Bye bye bye, baby good bye 4x She was a late night taxi dancer 2x She knew the place like the back of her hand I wasn't surprised to find that she knew the band I hung around till a quarter to three I knew I had to go, she was through with me She was a late night taxi dancer 2x Bye bye bye, baby good bye 14x Chor: Good bye, good bye love

Peter Straker (with Freddie Mercury) - Heart Be Still

Heart Be Still by Peter Straker with Freddie Mercury on backing vocals. Released on Peter's album 'This One's On Me' in 1977. Produced by Freddie Mercury and Roy Thomas Baker. Also featuring Alan Savage on percussion and backing vocals, Mike Allison on guitar, Mike Franks on guitar, and Marc Fox on bass. Written by Ragovoy & Berns. This is my favorite Freddie collaboration track, and one of my all time favorites from anyone. Lyrics: Baby, my heart is breaking And there's no hope, no hope inside The sky is an ocean of darkness, hmmm No-one, no-one, no-one to hold me in the long lonely night (Tell me) how can I, how can I forget you Oh, how can I go to sleep When I know that I love you I love you and always will (Heart be still) heart be still (Heart be still) heart be still (Heart be still) heart be still (Heart be still) oh yes When you, when you are lonely And you're feeling so blue Think of (think of, think of) the true love I gave to you You know, baby you don't know I gave my love, my arms are, are waiting (Come home) come home (Come home) come home (Come home) oh, come home My arms are waiting (Heart) heart be still now (Heart be still) maybe, maybe, she'll come back (Heart) oh, if you ever want me, if you ever need me (Heart be still) listen, listen (Heart be still) heart...... (Heart be still) (Heart) (Heart be still) (Heart be still) heart be still, oh yes (Heart be still) ah, ha, haa My arms are waiting Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha, haaa Ha, haaa, haaa, haaaa Haaa, heart ...

Peter Straker - The Saddest Clown (Produced by Freddie Mercury)

The Saddest Clown by Peter Straker. Released on Straker's album 'This One's On Me' in 1977. Produced by Freddie Mercury and Roy Thomas Baker. Written by Mike Allison and Peter Sills. Featuring Alan Savage on backing vocals, Mike Allison on guitar, Mike Franks on guitar, Marc Fox on bass and Peter Russell Brewis on keyboards. Lyrics: Children hurry for the door While mothers pay the man what he's asking for They've all come to see the clown The finest circus ever seen has come to town He makes them laugh, he makes them sing To them this man they've waited for is everything But underneath those fancy clothes and painted smiles there is a frown The saddest clown has come to town It all began some years ago He stopped some children on his way to say hello A mother ran out screaming at the strange man Shouting let them go And yet the night before, he made them laugh and sing To them this man was everything It made him very sad and so afraid, he realised Without his guise he was anyone Though that day has gone The memory lingers on Though his smile has gone His fooling still goes on The unhappy clown Mothers hurry for the door While children turn their heads calling out for more They all want to meet the clown The finest clown that they have ever seen in town He made them laugh, he made them sing To them this man they'd come to see was everything But underneath those painted smiles, they couldn't see there was a frown The saddest clown has come to town Though that day has gone ...

Lyrics: In a long black gown that blows in the wake Of the shimmering lady who There's a man to take the enormous lashes That drift from her eyes a blue A cigarette holder always in place Framing the untouched, timeless face Of the lady with the eyes Of the lady with the sighs When she dances And it drags there Feeling classy She's a vamp burning camp For the people to stand for Age cannot hamper Drenched in champers The shaded background in Vienna where she suffered, oh she knew So the mocking eyes and the throwaway sighs Hold smouldering memories too The graceful gilde as she pass the air The dampning dim of her frozen stare Oh, the lady with the eyes Oh, the lady with the sighs Then she sings The smoke rings The darlings She's a vamp burning camp For the people to stand for Age cannot hamper Drenched in champers Legend, myth, and mystery She comprises of all three Clouded in her image, untouchable Venturing out always to be What the mind's eye thinks is she Shrouded in her vales, a sea unscrutable to such as we She wove a spell to all who came With a power of a lady likes to fix a glove of fear And the eyes that glazed from a thousand wars All the crystals here are slowly ...

Medley Nick Straker Band - A walk in the park & Umberto Tozzi - Gloria 1979

Medley Nick Straker Band - A walk in the park & Umberto Tozzi - Gloria 1979 1. Nick Straker Band - A walk in the park A walk in the park. I`ve got to get some sense Back into my head. I`m in the dark. And I can`t see Where I`m being led. I`d give the world To set the clock back And act like a man. Where can I turn To save myself from this confusion. A walk in the park, a step in the dark. A walk in the park, a trip in the dark. I`m getting away, escaping today. A walk in the park. Away from all The busy streets of my mind. I seek a straighter path. I seek a shady clay in which to unwind. But why do we go on. In spite of mistakes. In spite of destruction. Life can be fun Depending on the situation. A walk in the park, a step in the dark. A walk in the park, a trip in the dark. I`m getting away, escaping today. A walk in the park, A walk in the park. 2.

PETER STRAKER & THE HANDS OF DR TELENY - The Spirit Is Willing

Dr. Teleny is better known as writer, arranger, producer, orchestra leader and music publisher Zack Laurence, who also has a company called Telany. Peter Straker and the Hands of Dr. Telany reached number 40 in the UK charts in February 1972 and the instrumental was the B side. The tune was originally sung as "Jesu Joy of Mans Desire" composed by JSBach. Zack Laurence also previously played piano on a UK top ten hit "Groovin' with Mr Bloe" as part of the instrumentalist group Mr Bloe in 1970. Latterly composed the theme tune to the popular UK TV show "The Crystal Maze". Information regarding Peter Straker is about as accessible as finding rocking horse droppings but I remember him in the UK TV soap "Connie"starring Stephanie Beacham in the 80s, so no pictures featuring either Mr Laurence or Mr Straker, I'm afraid!!!
