Classic Game Room HD - NAKITEK SUPER NINTENDO SEGA GENESIS controller review

Classic Game Room HD reviews the NAKITEK "Power to Perform" Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis compatible controller for SNES and Sega Mega Drive. What!? One controller that plays both 16-bit game consoles? Yes. The Nakitek gamepad controller has an accessory built into the wire that allows you to swap this controller between the SNES Super Nintendo and the Sega Genesis (Megadrive). This gamepad also has programmable features and turbo fire, as well as 3-button Sega video game support and 6 button support which works with 32X games (and Genesis games) that require 6 buttons. This hefty controller is affordable and acts as a good replacement controller for both the SNES and Genesis.

Classic Game Room - SUPER NINTENDO console review

Classic Game Room HD reviews the SUPER NINTENDO video game console which was released in the US in 1991. A fan favorite and many viewers' first game system, the Super Nintendo delivered awesome video games with a 16 bit style that differed from its main rival, the Sega Genesis. Smoother visuals and that Nintendo flair for lengthy games packed with months of gameplay made the SNES game console the system to own for fans of Mario games and Zelda. Could you find Super Metroid on the Genesis, Sega CD or 32S? No! (but could you find Cosmic Carnage on the SNES... No!) This Super Nintendo video game console review shows games and the game system up close. Relive the days when competing video game consoles were actually different and played different games. Reminisce about different sound effects, music design and graphics that separated rival Nintendo from Sega. The American Super Nintendo may be built to last and works like a champ but suffers from a case of the uglies. These days many of the best Super Nintendo games can be found on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console and downloaded for a few bucks. Games like Super Mario Kart on SNES and Super Mario World still hold their value and bring back years of memories for collectors.

Classic Game Room - SEGA vs. NINTENDO STREET FIGHTER 2 review part 1

Part 1 of 2. Review of the Sega Genesis STREET FIGHTER 2 vs. SNES STREET FIGHTER 2... Classic Game Room starts a war! A 16-bit conflict between the Super Nintendo video game console and the Sega Genesis video game system. Street Fighter 2 by Capcom is one of the greatest fighting games ever made and single handedly brought people back into the arcades in the early 1990's to battle each other in this smooth, stylish 2D fighter. Although SNK and other companies had some fighting games out there, it was Street Fighter 2 that made the biggest splash. Consequently it was ported to the leading game consoles of the time, the Sega Genesis (or Sega Megadrive) and the Super Nintendo SNES. Although they are very similar on both game consoles, there are subtle differences between the two that are fun and interesting to point out in this informative head to head comparison review. Graphics are slightly difference, sound is very different and fortunately the gameplay is similar. Are you a Sega Mega Drive fanatic or an SNES fanboy... doesn't matter. We can all agree that Street Fighter 2 is awesome and that we're all waiting eagerly for Street Fighter 4 from Capcom. Will Street Fighter 4 see a revival on any Sega game consoles or the Nintendo Wii? Will is be the supreme fighting game on the PS3 Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 game platforms? Who can say, but this look at the 16 bit era is a lot of fun and Street Fighter 2 from Capcom gets a great review from Classic Game Room. Check the ...

In 1995 two editions of the Justice League Task Force computer game was available for the Sega Genesis (AKA Mega Drive) and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). Both consist of the same story, but have different art work, music and playability. This SNES version features segments of the story mode featuring Wonder Woman played at the maximum difficulty level. The SNES Wonder Woman's powers consist of Deflector Bracelets; Flight & Hover; Flying Kick; Magic Lasso Snare & Kick; Summersault Kicks; and two special moves - Flip Over Throw; Air Slam. 100 Sega Genesis / Super Nes Games

100 Sega Genesis / Super Nes Games This is a vid of 50 Sega Genesis, and 50 Snes games as played on their original consoles, and taken footage of via a video capture card. I've been neglecting my retro systems lately, so some of the games on here aren't that great (I don't have another Snes game to switch off with The Flintstones which was a game I got for free otherwise believe me, I would), but I only have 50 games for the Snes, and 60+ for the Genesis (not including the Sega Genesis Collection on the PS2, and Sonic's Ultimate Sega Genesis Collection on the PS3 which I own both of). I've been neglecting them, because it's a lot easier an more convenient to focus more on my newer systems who still have games in the stores, but seeing as I've hit around 260 PS2 games, I think it's time to finally focus on collecting for my retro systems who's collections are lacking. I missed out on a lot of games back in the day, because I was relatively poor, and could only afford so much, and by the time I was old enough to start buying my own games, most 8-bit, and 16-bit games had already disappeared from the store shelves. However, I'm now going to try and fix this as much as possible, and I'm not going to buy any new games for a long time. Instead of the usual "Where's this game or that game?" and "Your collection sucks" comments, I'd appreciate it more if you guys would instead give me some suggestions for my collections for both systems. We take you back to when Lucasarts was a game studio in its prime. High off of the success of titles such as the Monkey Island series, they created what on the surface would seem to be a standard action game involving two teenagers fighting zombies. But when you add in a bevy of weapons, tons of stages, and that classic off-the-wall humor, the product is much more than the sum of its parts. Kinda like Frankenstein. Classic Game Room - ULTRAMAN for Super Nintendo review

Classic Game Room HD reviews ULTRAMAN for Super Nintendo SNES from 1991. Based on the 1960's Japanese television show, Ultraman is a campy, cheesy fighting game where you play as Ultraman and beat the life bar out of cheesy monsters invading from space (or the back lot straight out of wardrobe). From Ban Dai, Ultraman may capture the cheesy feeling of the shows but fails to deliver good fighting game controls. Slow and sluggish controls, awkward movements and sloppy gameplay mechanics send Ultraman to the bargain bin. Yes, not all is bad in Japanese TV land! Ultraman is a cheesy, bad fighting game on the Super NIntendo! A rarity indeed, Ultraman has more in common with campy Genesis action titles like Death Duel and Cyborg Justice than most top shelf SNES titles like Super Metroid and Yoshi's Island.

Pocahontas level 1 playthrough. (sega genesis)

Me playing through the first level of Pocahontas for the Sega Genesis. This game came out for the Genesis and Super Nintendo in 1996. Anyone who was around to remember when those consoles were big, probably remembers how good the old Disney games were. Aladdin, Lion King, Junglebook, the various Mickey Mouse games. They were all great. I think this game slipped under the radar of some gamer's out there. At the time, the original Playstation and Sega Saturn were out, so everyone's attention was going to those new consoles. Plus I could see plenty of guys not wanting to give it a shot, for obvious reasons. It's actually a well made environmental puzzle/platforming game though, and really surprised me. Give it a shot if you love the old Disney games, or just like Disney in general. Pocahontas is a pretty good gem that you never hear about.

UPDATE: A new version of SMB on Genesis has been released! That link is now updated to 1.4.2 This is a short gameplay video of Super Mario Bros. on Sega Genesis, ported with a from-scratch converter to "translate" 6502 ASM to M68k ASM code. This video isn't meant to be a showcase of skill. As you can see, it's practically picture perfect in visuals and play. The sound takes advantage of the Genesis sound hardware with good results. You can download the game for use on an emulator and read all about the technical stuff in this amazing conversion here: devster.proboards.com Note: The only reason I captured the emulator window is to help prove that this is in fact played on a Genesis, not the original NES. At the end of the video you'll see that I reset the game after the Minus World glitch fails. It's not a separate video inside a Windows frame. This video shows the s-video quality of the Hyperkin Retron3 compared to a modified Sega Genesis Model 1 and demonstrates the audio quality. Video quality is very impressive and audio is not bad, although it lacks some of the dynamics that the original Genesis produces. Overall performance was awesome and CGR thinks that this console should not be overlooked when shopping for replacement old school systems. Classic Game Room HD - SUPER HANG ON for Sega Genesis review

Classic Game Room HD reviews SUPER HANG ON for Sega Genesis. This sequel to Hang On arrived in the arcades as an awesome arcade motorcycle racer in the late 80's and made its way to the Sega Genesis (aka Megadrive) in 1989. From designer Yu Suzuki, creator of Out Run, Super Hang On boasts amazing 16-bit graphics, excellent sound and brilliant arcade racer gameplay. This CGRHD review of Super HangOn has gamplay footage from the Sega Genesis Mega Drive Super Hang On where you can race in arcade mode or original mode. The original mode allows you to earn money and upgrade your bike, you can get codes and even enter codes found online now to jump right into the race with tons of cash. Personally I like the arcade mode better but Super Hang On is brilliant no matter how you look at it. Race all over the world on 4 different circuits from Asia to Europe and the Americas and Africa. Super Hang On is a must have for Sega Genesis collectors, the Super Hang On MD game cartridge is easy to find and affordable to collect today. With interest in other Sega arcade racers growing and talk about a new Sega video game console there should be a resurgance of interest in Super Hang On as well. So soup it up with the SUPER Hang On review here on Classic Game Room, your Sega Genesis Megadrive reviewing review show which just reviewed Super Hang On for Sega Genesis.
