Our twins were born at exactly 32 weeks after the pregnancy SUDDENLY developed Twin to Twin Transfusion syndrome. We were admitted to hospital with Stage 2 but this had progressed to Stage 3 leading into Stage 4 by the time the babies were delivered (16 hours after going to hospital). Today our girls are 15 months old and thriving. There have been no ill effects and both girls are healthy and happy little toddlers. The video shows our first 6 months with these precious little gifts of God.

Sara's twins were not growing at the same rate. They shared an amniotic sack and were not receiving the same levels of fluid. If not corrected, the babies risked heart failure or death. Sara was cared for at the Fetal Care Center, a collaborative center between St. Louis Children's Hospital, Barnes Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. The condition, known as Twin Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) was so far along, that the less invasive correction - where excess fluid is drained from the sack - was not an option. Instead, Sara required a laser procedure to cut off the flow of fluid between babies, and equalize the fluid between them.

Michael and Lyndsay Roy have two beautiful, healthy baby girls. But Lyndsay did not have a typical pregnancy. Her babies suffered from Twin Twin Transfusion Syndrome, which means the amniotic fluid was not evenly distributed between the babies - causing one baby to have dangerously high levels. This is a video I made of my identical twin boys who suffered from twin to twin transfusion syndrome. Our baby jayden passed away in utero and ricky was born very prematurely. Despite everything the doctor never though was possible ricky survived. He was only given a 10% chance of survival. In the NICU he was diagnosed with NEC and had to undergo 3 surgeries, his first being when he only weighed 1lb. He also had a grade 3 bleed on both side of his brain. He was at high risk for ROP and brain damage since the other twin passed while they were still sharing the the blood vessels in the placenta. This is a video to show that God works miracles in mysterious ways. Although Jayden is missed he will never be forgotten. His twin brother will always know about him.
