(x - Happy Valentines Day - x) Long time peoples  Well here I am again dancing, Ive been off the pole about 16 months due to having no space in my new house, which yes, sucks and I have missed it like mad! Not dancing has affected my anxiety, which again sucks! Anyway Here I am dancing on a 45mm, first proper go, and I found it very very hard, I couldnt grip with my legs and it felt really odd, but I cant complain too much its a new experience! The place where I am poling has low ceilings check how low they really are when Im in a handstand (Im 5ft 2-3) so Im used to inverting and not having to worry about my feet or legs touching anything, I also found the only way to get off the pole was from a forward handstand because of the grip and ceiling issues. Couldnt remember a great deal of moves, and couldnt do a massive amount so its all mainly spiny and the same  But it was good fun! Enjoy! While I was working my way through REdke71's basic pole moves encyclopedia--watching the corkscrew over and over, but not being able to duplicate it successfully--and very frustrated, a video response popped up from Fleurthefrenchcat. She had seen Johannah helping me practice inverts against the wall and posted a helpful tutorial. Johannah was sitting right next to me--so I had my spotter! We took a detour from the pole-o-pedia to try yet another way of getting upside down. I'm behind on posting other stuff. I was very disatisfied with my corkscrew practice video footage. I did find a tutorial from TaraKarina with a slightly different take on the move than Karol's version. Tara's version seems to involve a little more set-up on the ground--with a bit of hip-snap to get you going. Karol's is a little more aerial in nature--which nicely reflects her ability to get high up on the pole. I have no height on my basement pole, so maybe for just this one move I will stray from the pol-o-pedia and see what happens. I'm beginning to see that body type and pole conditions--even the weather, along with skill, afffect how individual dancers set up a given move... Anyway, the last two practices of the cokscrew were crap. I got mad and deleted about 14 minutes of video because I looked like a drunk gummy worm twisting around the pole. I just can't make the move look right! There's also about 3-5 minutes of "Something not a Gemini, LOL!" just waiting to be posted. Somehow I hooked my <b>...</b>
