Here we are in front of Tarry Fuel Oil in Tarrytown, where we see the oldest truck that the company owns and still uses. Here we have a 1956 Reo Gold Comet tank truck, which was originally from a company in Connecticut. This truck is still operational and is used as a spare during the winter time. As we check out this vintage truck, we also seeAmtrak Train 49, the Lake Shore Limited to Chicago, as it hustles north through Tarrytown Station. 49 consists of Genesis P32ACDM 701, 4 Amfleet II coaches, a Heritage Diner, 2 Viewliner Sleeper cars, and a baggage car. Enjoy the sight of this vintage truck, as well as Amtrak 49. In case you are wondering about the phone number, the phone exchange in Tarrytown used to be ME, which was short for Medford. The phone number here is still 631-2580. This video is dedicated to Chris Southwell and his interest in Reo and Diamond Reo trucks. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on September 1st, 2010.
