Brewster welcomed Tilton School, a Lakes Region League rival and defending National Prep School Champions to the Brewster Invitational this year. Tilton, an upset winner on Friday evening over national powerhouse, Notre Dame Prep met the host Bobcats in the championship game. Everything seemed to go well for the Bobcats to start the game, as they played aggressive team defense and excuted to perfection on the offensive end of the floor. Overall, a greater sense of passion and urgency allowed Brewster to jump out to a 53-27 lead at halftime. Brewster was led by Memphis-signee Will Barton (Baltimore, MD) with 34 points. More importantly, Barton played outstanding defense on Providence-bound Gerard Coleman, holding him to 12 points. Syracuse-bound CJ Fair (Baltimore, MD) and Ashton Khan (Scarborough, Ontario) each contributed 18 points in the contest. Maurice Walker (Toronto, Ontario) and Iowa State-signee Melvin Ejim (Brampton, Ontario) playeed outstanding defensive games, while Naadir Tharpe (Worcester, MA) played well from his point guard spot. Brewser played hard throughout and 12 players scored for the Bobcats in the 110-70 victory. Brewster improves to 11-1 on the season and hosts National College Prep (CA) on Wednesday at 6pm.

Each team boast a starting line ups of 5 division players with some coming off the bench too. Two Starting guards had to cheer there teams on from the bench due to injuries Dominque Bull (Tilton-Missouri), and Aaron Thomas (Breswter- FSU) When we first got to the game Brewster was already up by 10-0 led by Tj Warren (32 points), we thought it was going to blowout. A resurgence started by Nerlens Noel's incredible tomahwak and one dunk over a Brewster defender brought Tilton back in the game. From there on it was a dog fight that Tilton seemed to be winning. Down 3 with less then a minute left in the game, and Brewster's crowd chanting "Defense", George Niang hits the game tying three pointer. *The teams starting centers Nerlens Noel and Mitch Mcgary fouled out in regualation. In overtime Brewster jumped out the gate and wouldn't let the lead go despite another incredible performance by sophmore sensation Wayne Selden (34 points). Semaj Christon led the charge before fouling out on a bogus techincal foul for haning on the rim after a Vicious two hand dunk. The Final Score wast 84 to 78 with Brewster winning there invitational tournament .

This is a tribute to another one of my favorite actresses. Charlene Tilton is most famous for her role as Lucy Ewing in the 80s tv-series "Dallas". But she's also done a lot of movies like for instance a tv remake of the movie "The Fall of the House of Usher". Her big screen debute was in "Freaky Friday" in 1976 where she played a friend of Jodie Fosters character . This video shows different clips from Charlene's career. The "Liltin' Miss Tilton", as she was often called, burst onto the music scene singing with Benny Goodman, and she was his vocalist the night Benny played the first jazz concert in Carnegie Hall in 1938. Martha will always be remembered for her vocal with Goodman on Johnny Mercer's "And The Angels Sing" the following year. Here she is singing solo on a bittersweet beauty of a song composed by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn, 1944's "I'll Walk Alone", an ode to the forced estrangement of men and women during WW2.
